Biography

Minya
The Physical Embodiment of Outer Space|Spymaster
Chaotic Neutral

PkKAmaj.png
(Is not really the physical embodiment of outer space.)

Guile. Wit. Charm. These are all qualities Minya believes he possesses. Coincidentally, they're also some of the last words most people would use to describe him. Most people see him as an eerie lurker, with a penchant for mischief and sticking his frills in where they don't belong. Thus he's not a particularly popular dragon in the clan.

The exception is Ustasi, for whom he'll get back to his Shadow roots and play tricks on the entire clan, much to her amusement. Not that he doesn't enjoy messing with others quite a bit, but due to his position Minya feels that he should try to keep a more serious attitude most of the time. Also, such highjinks are far less fun without an audience.

As one may expect, the position of spymaster is not one openly advertised. Thus Minya's official duty is managing relations with other clans. Unfortunately, Minya's demeanour and in-depth knowledge of personal secrets can be very off-putting to foreign emissaries. And if they're able to deal with that, their only reward is having to deal with one of Minya's tricks.

Luckily, the spymaster's capable of diverting most suspicion away from himself. Well, luckily for him anyways. He's got quite a few enemies who wouldn't mind seeing some karmic retribution head his way. Or just some random violence in general. They claim it'll be an easy job if you're up to the task. Minya's just good at hiding, he doesn't have a clue how to fight back.

Don't take them up on that offer. Minya has allies, powerful ones. Nearly everyone has a secret that they don't want getting out, and if there's one thing Minya knows, it's secrets. Though he probably wouldn't even call in any "favours", since threatening him involves knowing where he is, and it's near impossible to find the fae if he doesn't want to be found.

Applications for diplomatic positions are currently being accepted, preferably before this guy starts a war. Not that Minya doesn't do a good job, but he really shouldn't be the face of the clan. Or the neck. Or any visible bit of it really. He can be the spleen.

He has a personal office, well hidden in the depths of the fortress. It's full of papers, all of which are encrypted in a cipher of his own design. The entrance itself is heavily enchanted as well, with wards that range from causing those who wander in to wander right back out to ones that swiftly invoke madness. Despite all these protections, one of the greatest assets to the security of his work is simply that most dragons are far too large to fit inside the room.

Minya's known to rather unpleasant, but those who are unfortunate enough to work for him know him to be even worse than the others think. He expects perfection from his underlings, and has no patience for anything less. Punishments for failure range from severe to nightmare-inducing, and don't expect anyone to come to your aid if you invoke his wrath. The only consolation that those who work for him have is that there's no evidence to show he'd ever permanently injure them. Of course, whether this is because deep down Minya actually cares for them, or just because the spymaster knows it's not a smart idea to damage one's own tools is a mystery to everyone but him.

Lil' Guy
Cute Crimes
Lawful Neutral

PkKAmaj.png
What would a spymaster be without a wide network of agents? Not only does Minya have a number of fae and other dragons at his disposal, but he has some beastclans as well. And the most reliable of those is none other than the kitsune usually described as that lil' guy. He's not the most stealthy of agents, or the smoothest talker, but he gets results. If there's anything in Sornieth that Minya needs to get his hands on, this lil' guy can get it.

Technically, his name is Harry, but he prefers to be referred to as a lil' guy as part of his undercover identity. And also his public, definitely not nicking all your stuff identity. It works wonders for getting access to places he shouldn't be allowed into, because really, how much trouble could such a lil' guy get up to? A disarming smile and some cute eyes, and nearly anyone can be persuaded to forget about him for a little bit. Perhaps more importantly, it's an effective way to make himself difficult to track down after pulling off a heist. "Oh you know, just the cutest lil' guy" is not a useful description for identifying whoever intercepted some confidential messages.

Of course, that's not enough to be one of Minya's best agents. Harry is also really, really good at running away. And hiding. Hiding is the more important part. When the dragons hunting you can fly, quickly finding something to hide under is the best way to escape the eyes above. Harry prepares a a couple of safe hideouts before every mission, from hollow trees and holes in the ground to crates about to shipped somewhere else. But his favourite spots are the houses of locals who he can count on to give a lil' guy some shelter and a free meal after a bit of wide-eyed pleading. The only trackers he fears are tundras, who prefer to search by smell at ground level. But he has a plan for that. It's called not taking missions in the Southern Icefield, so that he has to deal with them far less often. (And also he doesn't have to be cold. A nice side benefit to that strategy.) If Harry ever does have to hide from a tundra, he's got one backup plan. A bottle of perfume, which he'll douse himself with so that he smells like a bunch of very tasty flowers which the tundra can't go take a detour to eat because they're on duty.

Harry manages to simultaneously be one the clan's most beloved and hated members. Some of the clan think he's adorable, with a good sense of humour to boot. The rest are annoyed with him for constantly stealing their things and trying to resell them on the docks. He's more incorrigible than any of the clan's ridgebacks. Unfortunately, when you live on an island, there's nowhere to run. Well, there sort of is, as long as you abandon all your stolen stock. Then hunting you down might not be worth the effort.
