Biography

The heights of success were all Enrapture knew. Failure was not something she understood. And she didn’t understand it in others either, why was it so hard for other dragons to succeed?

So she lived on her own, separate from the rest, because they couldn’t help her in any way. And on her own, she made discoveries. Things too incredible to be true, inventions that were sure to change the world, and… she didn’t have anyone to share them with. So her pile of unused gadgets grew higher and higher, and Enrapture’s spirits sank lower and lower, until success didn’t feel like success anymore.

Or… Was her life the greatest failure?

All Kaz could do was observe her beloved Enrapture sinks into madness a little more every day. Maybe the little Pearlcatcher should have confess since the beginning but the Sandsurge seemed so cold and distant, Kaz was shy so she didn’t insisted when Enrapture declined her invitation to a little tea party. Now all she could do was plunge herself into the world of dreams, asking the greater ones if there was something to do to save her love.
When Enrapture came to the Citadel, no one paid attention to her, she was just a newcomer like many, she was used to that kind of indifference so she didn’t take it badly. She chooses to live in the ruins of the eastern tower, the one everyone said cursed and haunted. Enrapture didn’t cared that much, dead or living, company was boring to her. But there was this Pearcatcher, what was her name… Ah, Kaz! Yes, Kaz brought her food and other supplies, she was thankful to her but nothing more.
Her passion, or rather obsession, was inventing great things, bluffing new technologies. But she didn’t shared it, not by mistrust but because she never bothered to create social bounds with other inhabitants of the Citadel. She found herself in the same situation that made her leave her former clan in the first place. All she could do now was leaving, she thought. She chooses the leave at dawn, when everyone was asleep except for some sentinels who would not question her departure.
But someone stopped her, damn it, she shouldn’t have left a letter in her laboratory. Of course, Kaz cared deeply and when she read the letter, she was devasted and did as fast as she could to catch up the tired-of-life Sandsurge. Enrapture didn’t understand why someone would stop her and insist for her staying here.

“Please, Enrapture, I love you !”
She had her answer, it left her confused and embarrassed, not really sure of what she was feeling at the moment but she chooses to give a chance to Kaz. A chance to gave her back her taste to life. Now, they’re both living at the Eastern tower’s ruins, Enrapture explaining her inventions to Kaz while the little Pearlcatcher explains to her the nature of the Dreamworld. It’s nice to have some company, in fact. She’s still not sure of her feelings for Kaz, but maybe one day, she will be ready to share her inventions to the rest of the Citadel, thanks to her.
As far as she can say, Enrapture has found a place to call home.

Well, it’s complicated. Not that they have a conflictual relationship, on the contrary! Kaz is sweet and adorable but Enrapture is quite new to the concept of love and romantic relationship. She’s quite clumsy but she tries her best to make Kaz happy. She even tinker some kind of music box for her, its lullaby helps her sleeping and explores the Dreamworld. And this Dreamworld, Enrapture finds it curious and interesting, she knows it’s dangerous but maybe she will explores it someday, with Kaz. Just like some sort of eldritch honeymoon.
