CITY LEADER / FOUNDER { "Every night, I could hear it, I remember." } None exemplify the tenacity of the dragons of Siren's Call quite like its founder, Caelum. Though he is scarred and fearful, he remains as the stalwart leader of the province and all of its denizens. Many claim that because of the trauma he suffered, it has made him all the more empathetic towards his charges... Born within a plague clan, he never quite fit in due to his more docile nature. He was imprisoned during most of his formative years by a sadistic dragon named Jannik, who wished to keep him there for the rest of his life to serve him. He even tried infecting Caelum with various diseases to keep him reliant on him. However, this only served to make the others around Jannik more sympathetic to the young yellow-eyed drake. After a particularly grueling night of work, one of the clan's members named Lues approached him with the key to his chains. He set Caelum free and fled alongside him, hoping for a better life away from Jannik. They attempted to start their own clan within the Icewarden's lands, however Caelum's hesitance towards any of the 11 Gods made it difficult. Lues cared for him until the younger was healed enough to walk again without assistance. The pair worked together on a plan; They would create a flightless province away from the 11 flights. They would welcome similarly minded dragons in from any flight that had ever felt they didn't belong. Caelum trudged through the snow with Lues to find their spot...a desolate location surrounded by mountains. Not even the Icewarden would claim this place as his own. This place became Apollodor City with time and effort, reaching out to nearby clans and spreading the word. As more and more joined, a leader was needed. Lues was the obvious choice, and yet the older dragon refused, giving the role to Caelum. |
