Slowly, a boat rounded the horizon. Its hull shone bright in the early morning mist. Inside sat a dragon, still as a statue. “Look! What’s that?” The mirror fisher asked his tundra companion, and she squinted towards the ephemeral ship. “Wait…” she said, but even as she spoke the ship disappeared, as if it never existed. Stunned, the two dragons stared into the horizon, until: “Quick! The lines! We’ve got a catch!” Over the next week, the legend of the ‘fog-boat’ and the stoic dragon inside spread like wildfire. Meanwhile, the boat sailed on, the imperial sitting alone in his boat. Once he was out of sight of the small fishing vessel, he sighed and relaxed. It wouldn’t do for them to know he was a living, breathing dragon. Better for them to assume it was some supernatural apparition. Soon, he arrived at his destination, the hidden cove along the coast. He disembarked and joined the other figures shrouded in fog around the entrance. His fellow elves did nothing more than nod as they entered the lair for their mid-century meeting. It would be good to catch up with old friends.

The Sea elves are the first elven variant and the 'root' of all current elves. After ascending to dragonkin the elves first took to the sea, where they could live in peace from the dragons of Sornieth and their deities. The elves built beautiful, slender ships to carry them, travelling wherever the wind took them. Their colors took to match the blue-green waters around them, while their filigree often displays bold colors to impress their tribemates. Their eye color varies the most between all elves, a side-effect to their vast travelling.
