INHOSPITABLE CONDITIONS here have caused dragons to rule as ducal lords over beastclan peasants. dragons are either expected to perform in war, or provide knights via laying eggs.

the crown is hereditarily passed to descendants of the progenitors. it has double power in the high seer council, which governs all major decisions of the kingdom.

MULTIPLE FACTIONS split up the kingdom, each vying for control in a cold civil war waged by mages, rogues, and necromancers.

they can't kill each other, however:

→ firstly, the two warring serthis beastclan colonies sandwiching them on either side are constantly causing massive vinean casualties- even dragons perish in high numbers here.

→ and secondly, vineans distrust outsiders more than each other. better the devil you know.

SERTHIS. the vast majority of vinea's residents are serthis, rejects who could not compete in their natural clans. without the protection of the vinean dragons, they would have perished ages ago.

there are many other wayward beastclan members filling up the peasant class, but none of them can compete with the sheer number of serthis.
