WildOats' Clan

Welcome, traveller, to the settlement of Wild Oats. Our community is small, but we have much to offer in way of produce. The Windsinger's warm breeze blesses our crops and brings rain to help them grow. Our orchards are widely known to produce the sweetest Honeycrisp apples in the Province. Our market along the main road has been visited by many adventurers, dignitaries, even entire clans. But our community remains a meager, yet productive place. The Wild Oats clan is, well, not really a clan by normal standards. More accurately, the dragons that live here are a group of humble farmers that have established a settlement in order to ensure the safety of their crops.

When Oats came across this Clanhold, it seemed as though dragons had begun a life here, built structures, though the Windsinger had long since sent them tumbling into the reeds. The remnants of these ruins can still be seen, as they were built upon and used as the foundation on which the settlers built their new structures.

Living off the land is simple, but in no way easy. The first years saw famine and poor crop yield. This meant that winters were harsh and there was little food stored up to keep the clan going. Because of this, many of the farmers also travel to larger clans in the area and work their fields for pay in order to supplement losses in lean seasons. Those that don't practice this business resort to hunting and gathering when crop yields are sparse.
