It features her longest track, Only Skin, where there is a more or less direct reference to the waxwing hitting the window like in the opening lines of Pale Fire. It is also probably my fav song by her. (But I think her 2010 album is even better!)

She has the same eye for beauty in words and phrases as Nabokov I think. Most of her songs contain some incredible poetry and fantastic arrangements. Her 2006 album Ys is perhaps the most dense in terms of songwriting and symphonic arrangements.

have you heard about Joanna Newsom? Nabokov is one of her favourite writers and she occasionally references things of his and also has a waxwing in the lyrics of one of her songs! She's my favourite musician:3
