Welcome to the Ancient Lair of the ShimmerArrow Clan
Clan Alphas:
Pippa and Luniper

The Clan of the ShimmerArrows first came about when the first Shimmer Sprite was born. Shimmer Sprites are extremely rare, and are only born after the first rainfall of every year. It was this Sprite that gave birth to all eleven other Sprites. The Shimmer Sprite flew through the trees of the Everbloom Gardens, settling on one particular area. This became what would be the lair of the clan. When the Sprite settled, she coated the trees, leaves, grass and flowers in sparkles—tiny crystals infused with the Secret of Winter and the seeds of the Glowing Tree. As the sparkles spread and the area became entirely decorated in the magic, neighboring Nature Clans grew jealous and sought to destroy the glittering lair. Because was not yet ruled by a dragon, the Shimmer Sprite gathered all eleven Sprites, and together they crafted arrows that possessed the magic of the moonlight. Shades of gemstones encased the lair the night of the invasion, bathing the enchanted plants in a veil of lustrous darkness. As the Sprites prepared, the Shimmer Sprite secretly equipped all arrows with the last of the crystals, unfortunately killing itself in the process. The newly powerful elemental Sprites won the battle with ease, the magic of the crystals and moonlight piercing the intruders with a poison so fine, they dropped before they could even move forwards. Henceforth, the founders of the clan, Pippa and Orpheus, claimed the enticing land under the name of the Shimmer Sprites and the magic arrows

Immortal Dragon Ranks:
*Immortals are represented by their tertiary color gene being: Ice, Red, Banana, Seafoam, Mulburry, or Rose

Hunters (1st Circle):
Top 3 Most Common Hunters: Guardians, Coatls, Skydancers
Identified by Apparel: Teardrop Lapis Lazuli Armlet
The strongest of the immortal Nature dragons, Hunters thrive off of the power of the clan's hatchlings. Every hatchling that is well protected and cared for adds a Huntress Scale to the Hunter-in-training. This is why it takes so long to achieve the status of Hunter and be accepted into the 1st circle; there has to be an abundance of hatchlings within the clan, and they must all be cared for.
Job/Duty: Hunters soar through the Nature Realm as well as the neighboring Earth, Shadow, and Light Realms searching for worthy opponents to battle and bring power to their Realm. They hunt those that get near the Nesting Grounds. If a Guardian has become a Hunter, hatchlings are their charges.
Personality: Hunters generally have a more confident, complacent, and assertive demeanor than other dragon ranks, though this is not true for every dragon. Hunters must be strong, loyal, and competitive in order to serve at this rank. Though compassionate for hatchlings, they rarely show a soft or vulnerable side.
Culture: Because Hunters travel all over their Realm and neighboring Realms, they have a very open mind and are appreciative of all dragon traditions and lifestyles. Hunters love seeing hatchlings from other Realms and playing with them, presenting the hatchling with a Nature gift. Hunters enjoy the sounds of the forest and will engage in dancing and singing during festivals.
Snow Princes/Princesses (2nd Circle):
Top 3 Most Common Snow Dragons: Spirals, Tundras, Pealcatchers
Identified by Apparel: Teardrop Citrine Leg Band
The second strongest immortal dragon, Snow Princes and Princesses are characterized by their distinct affinity to winter. The reason they identify as Nature dragons instead of Ice is because they focus on the process of winter and its affect on their Realm rather than it as an element. These types of dragons possess the special abilities of Frosting and Crystallization. While not stronger than the intense devotion of Hunters, Snow Princes and Princesses are the closest embodiment of royalty the Nature Realm as because of their desired elegance and precision.
Job/Duty: These dragons are the reason for winter. Along with necessary jobs like Frosting, Crystallization, Encasing and Flinkering, Snow Princes are responsible for Enchanting young Captivators and Princesses are responsible for guarding entrances and making sure the Glowing Tree is functioning and intact.
Personality: Snow Princes and Princesses are the most playful of the immortal dragons. There are typically two distinct groups: arrogant dragons and immature dragons. While all Snow Princes/Princesses are playful, some take the title too seriously and act with authority, conceitedness, and prestige among cliques. Immature dragons fulfill their role with exuberance and sincere enthusiasm.
Culture: These dragons have one tradition that varies from the rest of the Realms in Flight Rising. At the end of every winter, every Snow Prince and Princess meet in the part of the Everglades that possessed the most power during winter, and select two honorable Princes and Princesses. One of each is chosen to be exalted and serve the Everglade deity. The remaining two dragons breed, and pass down the Secret of Winter to the offspring before typically being auctioned off to make room in the lair for the new generation.
Captivators (2nd/3rd Circle):
Top 3 Most Common Captivators: Pearlcatchers, Nocturnes, Coatls
Identified by Apparel: Teardrop Wing Loop*
*Various colors symbolize skill level
Captivators share with the Snow dragons as the second most powerful immortal dragon as well as maintain the position of third overall strongest immortal. The reason for this is because some Captivators only born from immortal parents are responsible for things in the clan that are of equal importance as the Snow dragons' jobs. Captivators-in-training are typically Enchanted by Snow Princes in order to carry out significant tasks. Depending on the dragon, this either creates a very close relationship between the two or a very tense relationship.
Job/Duty: Captivators utilize herbs and plants in order to make enticing powders and potions. No other dragon in the clan know what these mixes do, for to know is a crime and punishable by banishment. Captivators mentally analyze the caliber and personality of any new members or hatchlings in the clan and identify their likeliness to "fit in" given the current clan members. This is extremely wishy-washy since the ShimmerArrows clan embraces diversity and individualism. However, most Captivators come to positive conclusions. If anything is suspicous, Captivaotrs use their powder/potions to "captivate" the incongruous dragon, making them fascinated by imaginary visions and terrifying illusions until they leave the clan on their own.
Personality: Captivators tend to be ditzy and often go off into their own world, ignoring everyone around them. They are notorious daydreamers, and can be found mindlessly wandering from Realm to Realm in search for new ideas for illusions to create. They have hard times forming relationships and mumble themselves frequently.
Culture: Like their job, Captivators are wishy-washy with the different cultures they encounter. Captivators are usually drawn to customs that involve vivid storytelling (like campfire-ghost-stories-type) and lots of unique and diverse music.
Healers (4th Circle)
Top 3 Most Common Healers: Skydancers, Snappers, Imperials
Identified by Apparel: Teardrop Tail Ring*
*Various colors symbolize skill level
Though they are the weakest type of immortal dragon, Healers are extremely significant and loved by all of the ShimmerArrows clan. Healers are especially close with Hunters due to their insistent need to nurture hatchlings, and use thie relationship to their advantage. Once a dragon reaches the ranking of a Healer, they can decide to proceed to Captivator or not. Every Healer receives a Crystal pendant made by the Snow Princesses upon initiation.
Job/Duty: Healers tend to the injured and dying of the clan as dragons return from battles. They also help new mothers take care of their offspring when the mothers can't be present. Healers tend to both mortal and immortal dragons, though with mortal dragons, Healers have the power to use their pendant to save them from death. No mortal dragon can be made immortal.
Personality: Healers are the most compassionate of the immortal dragons with a special affinity to hatchlings. Depending on the dragon, some Healers can be timid or assertive. Timid Healers usually nurture hatchlings because of their quiet and soothing voice, while assertive Healers heal adult dragons.
Culture: Healers are much like Hunters in the sense that they are very accepting of all lifestyles and customs. Healers are especially fond of intriguing and diverse social greetings.

Mortal Dragon Ranks:

Light Capturers (1st Circle):
Top 3 Most Common Light Capturers: Spirals, Faes, Snappers
Identified by Apparel: Deepsea Bulb*
*Various colors symbolize skill level
The strongest of the moral dragons, Light Capturers reverse the effects of the Snow Princes and Princesses, but only after the selected Snow dragons have been exalted. Light Capturers are fliers, and are rarely ever seen on land or during the day. Like their counterpart, these dragons belong to the Nature Realm and not the Light Realm because they use light to their advantage, making their Realm as beautiful and interesting as it can be. The reason it is a mortal position despite being very similar to the immortal position is simply because there is a lack of magic involved with Light Capturer's responsibilities.
Job/Duty: Light Capturers undo winter, though it's not quote to the point of creating summer. They have jobs that don't requite much thought such as Flickering and Hot-Flitting. These dragons also constantly patrol the skies and make sure the Realm "captures" as much sun as possible for the vegetation to grow.
Personality: These dragons are extreme troublemakers and very mischievous. Many other dragons get annoyed with them because they like to play pranks and hide each other's things. However, one major identifying trait of a Light Capturer is their ability to comfort. When other dragons are sad or distraught, you can trust a Light Capturer to crawl right next to them and hug and talk with them until they feel better. They're so sweet.
Culture: Though these dragons don't have the same special tradition as their counterpart, they do have special mini-customs specific to their ranking. Things like annual Flitter contests—where Light Capturers race each other in the sky around the Realm—and Enchanted Rallies—a monthly game that lasts one week for all new Light Capturers—are some examples.
Bleeders (2nd Circle):
Top 3 Most Common Bleeders: Mirrors, Wildclaws, Imperials
Identified by Apparel: Wing Wraps*
*Various colors symbolize skill level
The second strongest mortal dragon are Bleeders, and they have the most complex job out of the mortal dragons. As given by their name, Bleeders have two small incisions on each wing that continuously bleeds a little bit every day for the rest of their lives. Bleeders enjoy hiding often, and avoid contact with other dragons. They are usually the most exalted dragon out of the clan.
Job/Duty: Bleeders are responsible for powering the Nature Realm. The way they do this is by selecting an area of the centralized Behemoths to burrow underground and "hibernate" for 2-3 days. During this time, Bleeders will accumulate a small bowl of their blood (from the incisions) and either use the sun or the frost (depending on the season) to Incarcerate it. By doing this, the blood turns a deep charcoal color and is now ready to power or "fertilize' the Behemoths. The Bleeders bury the bowl of blood and the Nature Realm absorbs the nutrients and magical qualities of the blood, producing plants, trees, blossoms, woodland creatures, sparkling waterfalls and the meadows that make up the Realm. Bleeders are very tired after this process, and will usually hide until they need to power the Realm again.
Personality: Bleeders are independent, dark and enjoy being alone. They are extremely focused on their job and don't like being disturbed. They favor verbal abuse over violence because of the fear of receiving injuries that make would make their incisions larger. They prefer solitude and hunt strictly for themselves.
Culture: Bleeders are very unique. When a Bleeder completes its training as an adult, the alpha of the clan makes the incisions. If two Bleeders mate and want to force their offspring to be a Bleeder, the can ask the alpha to make the incisions at a younger age. Because the Bleeders are mortal, eventually they bleed out entirely and that is how they end up dying. Bleeders bury their own in a very elegant and honorable ceremony.
Concealers (3rd Circle):
Top 3 Most Common Concealers: Nocturnes, Guardians, Spirals
Identified by Apparel: Teardrop Citrine Armlet
These dragons are the third strongest mortal dragon in the clan. Concealers, unlike their name, are not shy to meet new dragons and usually try to follow Hunters to other Realms. This upsets Hunters to no end. Concealers rarely sleep and remember everyone they've met and everything they're told.
Job/Duty: Concealers have very simple jobs. Besides keeping track of the clan's population, Concealers use simple magic to hide things. Things like the truth, items that other clan wish to steal, dragons from enemies, or secrets to name a few. They use invisibility potions as well as coming up with methodical hiding places. Advanced Concealers may even use optical illusions to make things simply appear hidden. This annoys Light Capturers because this ability often involves tricks of light and shadows to achieve.
Personality: Concealers are loud and attention-needy. They are the most romantic of the dragons in the clan, and frequently play hide-and-seek with other dragons they find attractive. They are very charismatic and skilled in manipulating their words.
Culture: These dragons are only interested in learning about other cultures in order to make their hiding spots successful. They will sneak into other Realms and find where those dragons hide things. Concealers are very narrow-minded and like things done their way. When a Concealer proposes to another dragon, they have a tradition of creating scavenger hunts for their future mates to participate in, which usually almost always end with them finding the Concealer in the Gladeveins, waiting with their chosen mating necklace.
Dark Thieves (4th Circle):
Top 3 Most Common Dark Thieves: Ridgebacks, Mirrors, Faes
Identified by Apparel: Highnoon Hank*
*Various colors symbolize skill level
The weakest of the mortal dragons, Dark Thieves are the fighters of the clan. They are very mystical with their abundant magical powers, and vanish into thin air when angry or upset. Most Dark Thieves leave the clan once they're done with their assigned task.
Job/Duty: These dragons differ from the rest in that they only receive one quest in their entire life. However, this quest usually takes months or even years to complete, and many Dark Thieves die along the way. This quest can range anywhere from traveling all the way to the Ice Realm and retrieving scrolls or materials to exploring undiscovered territory and determining its worth. Dark Thieves commonly steal hatchlings from other Realms. They also use a lot of dark magic to carry out their tasks.
Personality: Dark Thieves are cunning, sly and unfriendly. They are manipulative and dishonest in order to steal the things they need. Very seldom to Dark Thieves mate or ever find friendship or love, though it's not impossible. They are very similar to Bleeders in their personality.
Culture: Dark Thieves dislike change. They belong to the Nature Realm because they like the concealment that forests offer—it helps them practice sneaking, observing, and ultimately stealing.
