If you happen on the doorstep of our lair you are probably lost. Somewhere between the tallest steps of the west corner of the Zephyr Steppes in an insignificant far-away nook you'll find a key hole, almost too small to be seen. If you stick your claw in and twist in just the right way, you might be able to pick the lock. Of course, easier would be to just take the spare key from under the very conspicuously placed potted peacevine, but please do remember to put it back afterwards.
The lock clicks, stone grinds against stone and the massive door opens. You step forwards into the lair and are instantly welcomed by clan Collection.
Misfits, weirdoes, freaks. They've all been called names and they've all been ridiculed. For some it's their appearance, for some their interests or their beliefs, for some it's who they love. There's never pleasing everyone and these dragons have never pleased all too many, or cared to really. They have found a home for themselves in the Collection and what the rest of the world thinks of them has never been a big deal.
Many of them come and go when and where their hearts tell them to. Some always stay behind but don't wait with heavy minds. They know their bonds will never break, since once you have found the Collection you never really leave it and even after hundred years have passed you'll know your way back.
Collection wasn't exactly formed by anyone per se. The first member was Starsweeper's mother. She was a graceful lady with...interesting hobbies and needed a safe place for her...collection. With time that safe place attracted other weirdoes with weird hobbies and weird thoughts about personal liberty and the Collection formed itself. It still keeps forming itself. Some say it bites if the wrong dragon tries to stay too long.
That's probably just a rumor though. I mean what would it bite with? It's not like it has teeth.
...Right?
