Proud holder of eight count them EIGHT exalts. This isn't out of morality I simply find great joy in having a low score in specific categories and keeping up that score despite it doing nothing else for me.

A curse has settled upon this clan. Nobody is sure why, what did these dragons do to attract such a force? Either way, it seems to spread to newcomers, and there is no end to it. Many of those who have been grasped in the clutches of it have reached points close to death, but are in the process of being improved and strengthened from a scientific discovery made by one of the clan members.

Those who have survived the curse have been changed. The pattern of the curse is unpredictable, but all of those who have lived to tell the tale appear different. Growing branches as if they were trees or forming extra eyes where there weren't any before. Those who seem to be more affected are referred to as the Cursed. Those who seem to be liked by the curse and have been helped by it are referred to as the Gifted.

However, the clan have not fought this curse. Instead, they have welcomed it. After all, as a plague clan, it is not their goal to eradicate disease, but to endure it. And what else is a curse but an unnatural disease? However, they understand most are not fit to live in such a cursed place, so have numerous magic users to evaluate whether a possible new clan member can survive the curse.

Not wanting to put those unwilling through such a treacherous trial, they offer their own children who are too weak to survive to other flights. Sometimes, they guess wrong with who is strong enough to live with the curse, as happened with the son of the clan leader. But in those cases, they just send the barely living dragon to the hibernation den, awaiting the “necromancer” to get to work once again...
