Clan of Stars

Nestled somewhere in the Starfall Isles, separated by a wide expanse of water from the mainland, is the Clan of Stars. The Clan of Stars is a wondrous island full of exotic flora and fauna, deeply infused with the magic of the Arcane Flight. It once was part of the Southern Icefield’s, but after long debates and thought, it became part of the Starfall Isles. The most breathtaking sight is the pale pink floating rocks in the sky, where the dragons live. Towards the middle of the island is where the larger chunks of rocks are, and as you go farther out the rocks get smaller and smaller, eventually unable to house dragons. The clan is separated into three sectors, the first one is Solaris, the next Orbitris, and lastly Lunalis. Solaris is in the middle of this island, Orbitris wraps around Solaris like a scarf, which is further then ‘wrapped’ by Lunalis. Further yet, there are empty caves that ‘lost’ dragons can take residence in before moving on(Lunalis + The Lost in hibernal den).

Solaris is where the dragons with more importance in the clan reside, taking residence in the largest piece of floating rock there is around. This giant rock has been hollowed out enough so that there are sleeping caves, tunnels leading from cave to cave, larger meeting caves, and on the surface of the pale pink rock are golden flecks. Orbitris is a relatively wealthy sector of the Clan of Stars, and the dragons are cheerful and festive, often having rows upon rows of shops, with traders from all over the globe bickering with each other over who’s ware is the best. The citizens of Orbitris take residence in the rocks that are flecked with a bright cyan, although these rocks aren’t nearly as large as Solaris, they still are big enough to house dragons. Finally, you reach Lunalis. The residents of Lunalis are quiet, calm, and peaceful. The citizens here live in the rocks flecked with silver, like the moon. The rocks that are not part of any of the sectors are not flecked with any color, but just the pale pink.

Despite the slight differences in appearance, the insides are more or less the same. You would think that inside solid rock, the light would not be able to reach in, but the rocks have been enchanted to allow light to flow in, and can trap the light, saving it for later. Along with this, dragons can adjust the brightness to their liking. At night, the stored light can be used, and illuminates the caves and tunnels, which then get turned off by the dragons living in the caves.

The dragons living here are often from far and wide, across the globe, and from beneath the waves. All are friendly and accepting, all dragons with kind hearts are allowed to live here, but don’t be fooled by their outward appearances. When needed to protect themselves and close/loved ones, they fight with a surprising nimbleness and strength. And even though on the surface of the clan, everything seems peaceful, it has come to the attention of the dragons of Solaris that something is off...

I’m a sucker for good aesthetics so I just had to point them out, especially aesthetics that take the dragons colors and match the outfits with it. (I do a lot of those sorts of outfits).

Alani is quite pretty, probably my favorite. The aesthetic is so nice!
