Distain's Clan

An unassuming little storefront among many, selling ancient bits and baubles, has a surprising number of dragons disappearing inside for long periods of time.

If one were to inquire as to why, the shopkeep on duty would obligingly pull back the dusty curtain in the back to reveal well-trodden stone stairs descending into a cavernous underground lair.

It is difficult to tell what this immense space was used for when it was first carved out, but for now it has been repurposed into a bustling lair. Crumbling brickwork and masonry has been patched with fresh-hewn sandstone, a bubbling groundwater spring emerges and then disappears into a central pit of the floor, and dozens upon dozens of lanterns are strung from the ceilings in an effort to ward off the dark, bathing the rooms in dim but comforting magical light.

A hand-scratched wooden sign greets you as you enter the main hall, a warm greeting and invitation to stay and rest a while.

I'm not a dead lair yet, I just don't get on enough to keep my dragons fed. You'll see me here reliably during festival weeks
