Welcome To The Pelagos.
just gonna drop some lair info here, going to have a designated derg for it eventually. feel free to give me some advice or critique!
Some name and location info needs to be updated but at a later date.
The Pelagos has their own "Cloudsong", with the head being a depiction of a beast unknown. It has a draconic, ursine, sword fish like head with a great fin that stretches far across the spine of the ice floes. There are some many tremendous oars that look like a combination of fish fins and bear paws that paddle back and forth, autonomously or controlled. The whole thing is powered by extremely powerful ice magic, though nobody seems to ever want to say where it's from.
Some say the beast is from an ancient tale passed from Water to Ice, describing a beast large enough to rival the deities themselves, that was silenced by a tide of ice long ago. Perhaps the recent shrink of the Southern Icefield has freed the beast, and the ice floe is a shrine of it, to spare its wrath on the small sea faring clan.
As for where the dragons live on this tremendous piece of sea ice, they may live within the great fin, on one of the many platforms designed for residence, or inside the ship itself.
The Beast's Fin is of a thick ice, which makes the ship a sight to behold, like a shark's fin piercing the water's surface, rising over the horizon. The fin can be carved into, which makes excellent caves for those who enjoy the high skies and the scent of a sea breeze. If a dragon were to decide to move, the carved section can be restored to ice using magic.
On the Arctic Shelves, there are many platforms designed for residential use in mind, with barriers of ice to protect from harsher elements that may be encountered on rough seas; unlike the front sections which are mostly for control and maintenance of the ship, which do not have barriers active by default. These platforms make great homes for those wanting to build up their own abode, all kinds of styles welcome, with many little villages popping up on these floes.
As for most floating ice in the Southern Icefield, it's only just the tip of the iceberg. The innards of the ship are vast, and surprisingly comfortable. The Iceberg Resort looks more like a cozy inn rather than a hollow ice cave, with giant ice windows to gaze out into the frigid sea. These inner workings are perfect for tourists or residents who cannot tolerate the biting cold. There are several entrances to the inner sections, mainly on every couple platforms.
There is also a fourth, deeper section of the [ship name], however access to it is near impossible, with only a few Gaolers and smaller deputies coming in and out. These Gaolers tend to be rather reclusive, with most of them staying in the Gelid Gastro for which they say "maintenance" reasons. There are sometimes other dragon like things coming in, but none have been seen coming out. Those who try to pry tend to disappear.
-detail i need to rememver: ship is also a resort getaway. Originally the lore was that it was basically a glorified cargo ship but a really big cruise ship is way better. And it makes sense why people live there too. Its like a hotelish place where there are tours of the land and seas of sorneith and offers unique onboard experiences and events. Some residents are just tourists who never fricking left, others are staff, yknow yknow. Maybe it can be both, that while its ta faraway places trade amd selling happen. Ghast and Hen are the heads of the buisness.
-redo emperor design and outfit. not really pleased with old one
