Lydia is a spirit wandering the Leviathan Trench, cast aside by her clanmates in life and her God in death. For years she wandered alone, a shell of her former self, her memories gone and her very being slipping away.

But she found others, lost spirits abandoned by their Gods, volatile and amorphous without purpose or shape. In their presence she found herself, rediscovered the protector she had been in life. In the depths their souls were tended to, were nurtured and cultivated and cared for.

What was left of them was carefully stitched back together. After a time they were able to gain control, knowing only the strongest part of themselves, the facet of their being that was the most powerful, that had defined them in life. They became spirits of power, of protection, of knowledge, of revenge.

Before long they began a clan of their own, forming a stronger family in death than they had in life. Lost spirits began flocking to Lydia, feeling the pull of her energy, the protection she offered, the stability she created.

She knew how it felt to be cast aside, set adrift. If their Gods would not have them, then she would.

The Court

The Courtiers - They were servants in life, and so in death they cling to their old roles. They are tight-knit, considering themselves members of a court with unspoken rules and hierarchy. These spirits have appointed Lydia as their Queen, and while she does consider herself protector of the clan, the title leaves a bad taste in her mouth.

The Scholars - In life they were pursuers of knowledge, often at any cost. Now in death they search to understand their new world, tormented by the unknown. They keep themselves busy with bigger and grander projects, attempting to make sense of the existence they now lead.

The Soldiers - Warriors in life, in death their spirits are filled with the desire to see battle. Some were noble protectors, finding purpose in serving the clan as guards. Others were violent combatants, now wishing only to see bloodshed.

The Wilds

The Scavengers - Just as they were loners in life, these spirits fend for themselves, staying apart from the rest of the clan. They have found a new kind of family within their ranks, and often lean on one another for support, although they would be loathe to admit it.

The Magicians - Once minor healers and fortune tellers, the magical energy they held in life follows their spirits after death. Now that their spirits are free from a physical form their powers are heightened, becoming otherworldly and formidable beings of energy and power.

The Beasts - Perhaps in life they were not dragons, but beasts. Or perhaps in death their spirit has taken on a new, monstrous form. Whatever the case, these spirits can be dangerous and animalistic, and one should approach with caution.

So, I’m not sure exactly how I stumbled across Lydia, I’m like 90% sure she wasn’t on the front page. Anyhow, she’s absolutely stunning and I love all of the art you’ve acquired for her! And her outfit is absolutely on point!
