birchdale is home to many dragons, dragons of all shapes and sizes, breeds and colors. there is no defining virtue, not all are powerful, not all are lost, not all are lovely,
but what matters is that they have found this place.

this lair usually doesn't participate in many battles. when it does, it usually acts as rogues or peacemakers.

it was started by a biologist and her husband, and was joined by assorted dragons, some broken and some looking for something,
they are not mighty, not superior, but they have become good and kind and wise.

the clan has gone through a couple of storms. apparently the top of a mountain is susceptible to large hurricanes.

the dragons have predicted that the storms would bring newcomers, newcomers who were mad, newcomers who were malicious.
they were right. these are dragons who have gone through death and pain and loss; they are constantly at war with themselves.

however, the former dragons did not know that sometimes, this made a dragon more beautiful.

so the clan was now beautiful with the addition of the newcomers.
and they were glad.
