You had been wandering far too long, paw pads and scales cracked, bleeding and blistered. Every joint aches, every muscle put under strain from constant travel. You mind feels foggy, clouded, as though something had been lost and its spot vacant ever since. You blink dry and burning eyes, finding yourself upon a grove full of starwood trees, their gentle light putting you at ease. A large shard of deep pink crystal grows from the ground in the middle of the clearing, small streams of water pouring from the top to pool in nooks and crannies before calmly descending to the ground with soothing drips, creating babbling streams that feed the trees around it. Something stirs on a large chunk of the crystal, one of the only pieces that remain dry. A grey face leans over to look at you, long antlers made of branches of the trees surrounding you and a horn cresting from the forehead made of the same crystal that hums with the magic of the starfall isles. Eyes as black and deep as the night blink kindly at you, and a beak nearly hidden in the creatures ruff lets out a quiet sigh.

The creature stretches, crystalline claws holding its perch as bear paws splay out and glowing fins from the creatures face and spine fan out in a mesmerizing display. Clicking from hooves are heard as the stretch finishes and makes its way down the cluster to stand before you, its large body reminding you of mist. Then, she speaks. “My my, it’s been a while since we had such a weary face come through. Come, my dear, and let my clan take care of you. The Crystal Grove cares for the weary and wounded until they feel fit to rejoin the world. Please, my dear, stay as long as you feel need.”
