So a tundra dragon walks into the kelp beds and says, "Is the kelp tender here?"
Hey there, welcome to my gallery of beauties! I keep only dragons that I find beautiful, and some of them may surprise you.

These dragons operate with great respect to one's lineage. The farther back a dragon can trace their history, the prouder they are in general. First generation dragons aren't necessarily shunned, however; being a "first generation" simply means that there is no record of one's parents, and thus no lineage.
When calculating lineage, the typical way to measure is via the Eggline, i.e. your mother's mother's mother and so on. The farthest known ancestor in your Eggline is considered your Greatmother.
Some dragons prefer to measure along the father's line, i.e. your father's father's father, though there is less general support for this. The corresponding term for this ancestor is your Greatfather. All dragons in this lair have both their Greatmother and Greatfather listed, along with any kin found along either the mother's or father's direct line.
