Empire of the Blessed

You come across a great Empire . . . Finally, a city to rest. You enter and settle in quickly. Suddenly, you hear horns calling and cheers erupt from all around you. his grace, Emperor Samab, is visiting the city with a massive parade. Will you serve him, or curse his name?

Traditions and Description

They are a wealthy Empire with many resources, almost always having a plentiful harvest every year. Their houses are made up of cobblestone and sturdy oak, harvested from a sacred forest very few like to go in. Many dragons living here are middle class, with a handful being rich enough to have bigger houses and afford regal dresses with expensive jewels embedded into their scales.

Some dragons are also gifted with the power of magic, being able to cast spells to make things levitate and set ablaze. This magic varies from extremely powerful, to being barely able to lift paper. Those that are more powerful are taken to be examined and tested by the Emperor himself. If they are proven to be powerful enough to set a stack of 10 parchments on fire, they stay with him and be trained under the Emperor's most powerful Eclisto, {The name for those with magic}, Davell.

Age of the Blessed Title

Once a hatchling reaches the age of an Adolescent {Five days FR age}, also known as a Dragonet, they are to earn a title. Their title is given to them by visiting a mysterious statue by the name of Sasora {See below} in the Forest of Orn. They sacrifice 10T to it and their title is received telepathically from the statue and then they shout it aloud. The title can be based on their appearance, personality, or any unique traits they might have.
However, it is said once in every 50 years, a dragonet will recieve the title of "The Blessed", making them automatically a heir for the throne and adopted by the current Emperor. The last dragonet given this title was a young Tundra named Xyro {Visit his profile to find out more}. Faking earning this title is greeted by a storm of crows passing overhead. The amount of crows in the flock is determined by how many years of bad luck they will face. 5 crows is equal to 1 year. As well as facing up to 14 days in prison for impersonation of the heir {If there were any witnesses which there always are in most cases due to the fact all dragonets born that year go at the same time.}

The Stones Harvest

Once a month, all Eclistos in the Empire flock in numbers to worship a statue constructed by a sculptor way before the Empire existed. It is called Sasora, and it is worshiped because of its telepathic abilities to send messages into the minds of any that donates treasure. The Eclistos search the forest for the smoothest rock they can find. Each one they Eclistos collect is placed in a circle around the statue's base. Then, each Eclisto begins to levitate their stone up and into a ring above that slowly rotates around Sasora's neck and wings. After a while, the rocks start to crack and eventually split open. If the inside is Orange, it will be a plentiful harvest with many sunny mornings. If it is green, the harvest will be less plentiful and winter will come early. There wont be much sun in the day as well. This ritual is to foresee the future and prepare for whenever the harvest may be plentiful, or not.

Deity's Revenge

When a dragon is found to be guilty of displeasing the detiies severely, they are tied up with a mask over their face and placed inside the Forest of Orn where they are sacrificed to said deities and left for the crows to eat. After their spirits are released they are now to forever wander the forest as nothing more than a fragment of memory. Eventually, they forget their own name and must come up with a new one. For those who have displeased the deities yet not as harsh, they will have to wear the same mask as the ones sent to death for the rest of their life.
