Founded by an Arcane dragon of generations past, this clan originally operated from within the Arcanist's domain, dedicated to protecting and defending those displaced by natural disaster and conflict. Winter Sakura, an acolyte of the Arcanist, had been orphaned herself at an early age - an experience which led to her lifelong focus on ensuring the safety of all dragonkind as long as she could possibly do so. Accordingly, she and her mate founded their clan beside the Oculus of Eleven: an ideal place to hear news from all four corners of Sornieth. From there they could respond with greater speed to any disasters within range, increasing the survival rate of the affected dragons many times over.

Unfortunately, their goal of seeding peace did not go over as well as they had hoped. More warlike clans resented the appearance of these vigilantes and attempted to track down the location of their camp. It took time - decades, in fact - to pin down the nomadic clan's whereabouts once and for all.

And when they did, the enemy clans attacked.

Renaissance, Winter Sakura's mate, called the retreat when the first of their clanmates fell. That dragon was not the last to succumb to death that night, but with speed and adrenaline on their side the majority of the clan were able to escape over the border, leaving the Starfall Isles behind for the dark, blasted landscape of the Scarred Wasteland. There, among the independent clans of the Plague flight, Winterclan pledged new allegiance to the Plaguebringer, posting sentinels at her domain's borders and taking up residence at the Hellwell Undercroft in exchange for the freedom to continue their original quest.
