I found that it is the small things. Everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keeps the darkness at bay. Simple acts of kindness, and love.

I've been in count less battles and loss many brothers. They were my family.My home. Everybody I cared about. My team was gone. I was just another expendable clone. Waiting for my turn to be slaughtered in a war that made no sense to me.
War does not come with a guaranty. No soldier get the promise of safety, survival, or victory.
You have the best training in the galaxy, but no one can train you for the moment you look death in the eyes.
I've cheated death many times-got right up close to it. It was never something I welcomed, but with it comes serenity, a clarity that you'd never expect. You experience the present as the inevitable destination of every step you've taken toward it... And in that same moment, you see a different path stretch out in front of you. The path you could've taken at the first step. We are all on this road together. The good men who fight for wrong causes... and the corrupt men, who cloak themselves in righteousness. Each one of them convinced they are on the side of the angels.But every journey has an end... and death can only be cheated for so long...

My mamma,can't you see,
What this Corps has done for me.
put me in a barber's chair,
Snip snap,and I had no hair.
If I die in a combat zone,
Box me up and ship me home.
Put me in a set of dress blues,
Comb my hair and shine my shoes.
Pin my medals upon my chest,
Tell my mamma I did my best.
My mamma,can't you tell?
The motto is feet first into hell!
Blood is red,our armor is black.
Kill us and kill us but We'll come back.
Raid our basses, you might just get by,
But before you know it we'll come from the sky.
Orbital Drop Shock Troopers=ODST
There are types of men in halo.The ones who get into a suicide mission by mistake (marines),the ones who get assigned to a suicide mission (Spartans)and the ones who volunteer for them (ODST's) which one are you?
When the sky darkens and the sun falls.
so too do the shadows descent from the abyss of space,
And when the shadows hit the ground.
They tremble the earth...And their enemies fall.
As the covenant huddles together in their makeshift light...They try so very hard too hide.The hell jumpers are the monster that lurks in the dark.And ultimately consumes them.
