"I may be a criminal lunatic but I'm an American criminal lunatic!" appeals to my strange sense of humor.
Where are the little guys? Where are the pufferfish with skinny little human legs? I miss those guys. And where are the guys inside the empty torso? I miss them, too.
Shoutout to the tweet that went "Happy commonwealth day to the billions of people united in a shared hatred of the British museum." I think the Mummy should try a hunger strike. Considering he's the Mummy I think he'll break a record and get attention.
Gilly! We're putting the band back together! You can eat that raw sausage or chicken later!
Last time I heard the Mummy was protesting the British museum. Gillman was last seen at gator land- someone should call him up.
The one thing I miss is the Boschian demons.
"Almost all of them," I say as I immediately whip around and grab a hat "floating" midair. The Invisible Man, emrbarassed by his failure to be invisible, slinks away.
Also new Frankenstein series called Creature? Turkish Frankenstein.
The problem with adapting Castlevania and DMC is that while they're both lore-heavy they have more or less consistency and explanations for their inconsistencies (aka the Drac Cycle and why his evilness might vary). Thus removing lore causes a lotta appeal to be lost.
Which ultimately gives the Netflix AC a chance because making a new continuity and removing plot points it he best way to salvage it.Aw darn it. I’ll check it out but it does make me a bit skeptical.
Apparently the Castlevania dudes are making an assassins creed series and, as I told my sister when she informed me of it, “If they threw out half the lore, got rid of major elements, and changed the fates of certain characters… then they might make it good.”
(Also they turned Olrox from a Nosferatu guy into a dragon guy. A bit disappointed as a bat nerd but his dragon form’s neat so it balances for me. I dislike some other changes more)
Fungus has never done anything wrong.
Fungus is your friend.
Fungus is your life.
Also a new dmc series coming soon on Netflix? Wow seems like now’s the perfect time to return to the disasters of half-demon bros.
At least that means I can now add him without remorse to my list of “authors to avoid” so I can more easily find newer voices who are (hopefully) better at depicting these time periods. *pspspsping like trying to summon a cat* C’mon authors, write stuff about the Byzantines and Persians and Hittites, I believe in you!
Anyway mushrooms.
I was in a bookstore today and saw a fiction book that I read by this one author, about the Roman Empire. I hated this book (in spite it getting a lotta praise) since I felt like it killed off a character midway for no other reason than Needed Angst, on top of its best stuff being action and I need investment to enjoy action...
I tried reading two of the author's later books but they fell into that plus weird "modern pov" problems like not understanding Byzantines or Hittites believed their faiths, love triangles, and thinking it was sooo clever in an obvious plot twist.
Today I saw a two new books of his at the bookstore (about the egypto-hittite and the trojan war... *shudders*) and decided to look up his bibliography to see if he made anything I liked and, as it turns out...
Guess who made the video game novelization I hated?
