the palm heart, as it is often called, is a small settlement on a small island in the gladeveins. the only thing not small about the palm heart is its population, with seventy-odd dragons and over one hundred and fifty unbonded familiars all roaming the streets.
all the thatch-roofed buildings are unkempt and uneven, squished together in streets overgrown by ferns, palms, and hibiscus flowers. the biggest and most plant-covered one belongs to the "leader", vaedren, a tiny golden veilspun who still manages to intimidate the biggest imperials and guardians, and his daughter, spinel, an aloof and spoiled princess. the other dragons often laugh about how spinel is bigger than vaedren.
muninn, vaedren's mate and spinel's mother, isn't often seen, and is somewhat of a celebrity among other nature lairs.
