the merciful
from the outside, they are viewed as soft and weak. but no. when you get inside, my dear friend, regret will occasionally strike you. there are emotionless assassins to hired killers. librarians to nurturers. some are darker than others, but they refuse to reveal it until the perfect moment. at the center of it all, a shining, yellow fae, subdued by olive green markings originating from the glittering city. in the city, an old and tired founder of the opposite element lies in nearly eternal slumber. that is, until he was awoken.

the guardian ravaged the town to pieces and make it fall into darkness. the few dragons who survived became drained of feeling and killed others. the yellow fae from the beacon of the radiant eye finally came down to this dark place, overgrown with fungi and thorns. she tried to calm him down, to no avail. "Shade, what has become of you?" she asked. the guardian growled a response, vines reaching up to intercept her. "o great Angela, a skydancer awoke me. didn't you tell them not to?"

the fae didn't have a response as the vines wrapped around her tiny body. the guardian traced a claw around her small neck as she raised her head in defiance. dragons shining a radiant light came from the south, as darker dragons rose up from the ashes of the city. the fae pulled away as the guardian reveled in the air, releasing her, and sickly green marks were embedded in her skin.

the dragons around them battled as the fae and the guardian sought for control. with the fae's small body, she could dodge his attacks, and the guardian was focused by her clan. he fell soon, but the darkness never released itself from the newly named hewn city. they let him be and forced him to sleep forever, once again. until another dragon made the mistake of awakening him.

well, my clan IS a fictional space agency on another planet, it wouldn't make too much sense to have any Apollo missions in my bio. Besides, I talk enough about those everywhere else, lol
