BIRTH OF AN ORDER
In times before "the records", there was an attempt to eliminate the Arcane Fae clan.

Out of deranged arrogance, the Arcane, Plague and Shadow Fae clans warred for many seasons. The Arcane magic proved too much for either of the other clans to claim victory over on their own, so they made an alliance. They finally were able to take control of the Arcane stronghold, Starfall Sanctuary. They tortured the "Exalted One", Kalec Darq. The Plaque infected him with diseases of the ancients and the Shadow haunted, defiled and beguiled his soul. He was left for dead. A quivering, gnarled form, was all that was left of the mighty ruler, surely to perish a torturous death. The casualties of war were left for dead and never spoken of again, only whispers of the "Forgotten Fae".

Over the years the warring clans moved inward to populate a more centralized stronghold within their realms. Starfall Sanctuary was now just "the ruins". Or were they? No, they were home to the Arcane Shadow Plague, "Order of the A.S.P.". This was DARQ REACH!!! Not quite 'homeland', it was more wasteland, but it lived, as did Kalec and enough of the 'Forgotten' to build again.

It was in his darkest hour that he called to not only the Arcanist but also the Plaguebringer and the Shadowbinder. Not asking for strength, forgiveness or mercy. He sought revenge, not only for himself but for the thousands that contorted around him. The gods granted him, and those suffering around him, vengeance but no allegiance. They belonged to no one and were claimed by no one!!!

Many years had passed. Kalec began to hear the whispers of passer-bys.

"The Forgotten?!?!? We will not let them forget!!! he screamed.

He returned to his tattered fold and told them of what he had heard.

"We are not to be forgetten! We are to be remembered, and we will be!!!"

They all gasped at what their lives had been reduced to, little more than a memory. No matter the tribe, clan or family, they had been reduced to, "the forgotten".

Kalec sought out the strongest and most elementally faithful of both the Plague and Shadow clans amongst them. They knew they had no allegiance to anyone but themselves. They knew they had no strength as individuals, but a group, numbering in the hundreds, they could rebuild. Still having a shred of faithfulness they swore a blood oath to each other, to act as one. They were The Arcane Shadow Plague, known as "Order of the A.S.P." Once again they called upon the gods.

"We call upon you again, not as individuals but as the entity "Order of the A.S.P.'! We seek not guidance nor blessings, only your teachings. Grant us access to the Runes of Creation, grant us the knowledge that was never written, only taught."

After days of darkness, gloom and a sense of chaos they got their answer.

"For the fact that the elemental war that caused your demise was not sanctioned by us we grant you the knowledge." both the Shadowbinder and Plaguebringer said in unison.

"What say you Archanist?"

"I too grant you that knowledge, but never will I look upon you again! This is the end! Fight hard and may you die honorably!!!

Kalec felt the last shred of spiritual energy leave his soul. He knew that Darq Reach was his last stand and that The Order was his to believe in now.

With their new knowledge and the help of each other to understand the power and talent of the other elements, they formed a belief and spiritual power like no other.

Resurrecting some of the long fallen Arcane war dragons, the Fae Order of the A.S.P. began to build their army. It was safest to only raise the Arcane beasts since Darq Reach was after all, within Starfall Isle.

"We must build an army, not OF our enemies but FROM our enemies!!! We will breed an A.S.P. army! Once the hatchling has birthed from the egg, our enemy be damned!!!!

After amassing a fair sized army Kalec was killed by the Beastclans while gathering. The order is now lead by the "Defiler", Cylax, the only true heir of Kalec. Since the death of his father, Cylax has sworn that no beast or dragon is safe from the Order.
