There were two tribes that resided in the Crystalspine Reaches, a jagged and dangerous place to navigate due to all the sharp and thick crystals that erupted from the ground. Tribe Moonfall, and Tribe Crystalline used this to their advantage.

The Tribe Crystalline settled beneath the surface of the spines, around the beautiful oasis at the center of the tallest spine. The oasis was a large lake with a large, beautiful tree that grew in the center where luminescent crystal bunches grew at the base. The lake in question was hundreds of feet deep, but the crystal waters made it look much shallower. At the bottom of the lake was a rare kind of crystal coral that housed beautiful fish and other aquatic creatures.

The Tribe Moonfall was built entirely on the peaks of the spines, settling around the liquid crystal ponds that gleamed with magical energies and had beautiful stone shores. The people of Moonfall celebrated the setting of the sun and the rising of the moon at the end of the day, everyone gathering to watch her beautiful gleaming light shine over their lovely ponds.

The two tribes fought and fought and fought for a long long time, causing many to wonder if there would ever be peace. One day, however, a terrible blizzard swept through the reaches of the spines, forcing Moonfall underground to survive.

With nowhere else to turn the king of Moonfall, turned to the queen of Crystalline and begged her to shelter his people, for they would die in the cold. He said to her,

"Queen of Crystalline, I understand our people have fought for ages, but without the shelter your oasis provides from storm, they will die. I do not care if you leave me to die in the cold or if you kill me instead, but spare my people's lives, for you are their last hope."

Despite all their rivalry, their wars and their strife in the past, the queen of Crystalline allowed the King and Moonfall into her home, prospering a new era of peace between the two tribes and their new home in the oasis.
