For many years the creeping darkness from beyond the stars was held back by the union of the early elemental gods. But that tumultuous union fell apart, and the gods split the world into domains and areas separate and distinct - no longer united and strong. They turned to individual pursuits, each seeing a different way to protect their world, each furthering their own goals and aims with little thought to the disharmony in their methods. Unable to convince his siblings of the necessity of a unified front, the Earthshaker too was left to pursue a path alone. But just because the gods are too stubborn to see past their differences doesn't mean their children will have the same weakness. The plan then - send out progenitors into the world devoted to protecting it from the darkness, and teach them that only through unity can dragon-kind find strength, that they may teach others, and the world will live.

Toraque's clan keeps to themselves, for the most part. They accept dragons who come to them, and often bring in new blood. They send a constant tithe of dragons to the Earthshaker, and the core bunch is a fairly devote lot. They consider no terrestrial foe their enemy... but given the current state of unrest among the beast clans, who knows how long that will last.
