The Susurrus Clan lies deep in the heart of the Foxfire Bramble, a collection of burrows, caves, and pine-needle dens that house a diverse and brilliant family of dragons. It is ruled by Mnemosyne, named for the leader of the shades in Greek mythology, and her companion Ximena. Both were born to Fire and then turned to the way of the Shadow.

Susurrus Clan dragons have several roles: warriors, diplomats, healers, priests, workers, or Nobles of the Court.

Warrior dragons:
—Furiosa, warleader, whose grey and silver scales are perfect for blending in with the shadows of her forested territory
—Brigid, guard of the hoard, treasurer, and lieutenant, who gleams golden as the treasure she protects
—Moonblood, mage wreathed in gold and fire, who holds the power of volcanoes in his claws
—Eris, Illuminator, who leads the way through the darkest conflicts and fears
—Zhurong, scorched by the fire of a thousand battles, advisor to Furiosa and great warrior in his own right
—Ivo, Green Knight of the Susurrus

Diplomats:
—Jaar, who communes with the other creatures of the forest and helps the clan to live in harmony with their surroundings.
—Arcane, Fire, Plague, Light, Water, Wind, Nature, Lightning, Ice and his mate Icy, and Earth, who serve as liaisons and communicators with other clans
—Shadow, who sits at the hand of the Shadowbinder Herself

Nobles of the Court:
—Mnemosyne, Progenitor and Queen, and Her guard, Ximena
Adonia, Sai, Mariana, Freya, Khalkeia, Scheherazade, Ekaterion

Priests:
—Shadowed, who communes with the darker spirits of the shadowed forces, who speaks with the corruption in the woods and turns it to her own use
—Rosalindina, who communes with the Seelie Fae and the flowering spirits of the woods. He is most active in the spring, and is always surrounded by sparking pink magic.

Healers:
—Kalassar and Khalasin, who work together to use the power of the forest to heal those who have been injured in battle or while hunting.

Workers:
—Erzulie flies for long hours, hunting birds and other flying things to bring back to the clan for food. She is adorned with the skulls of her prey.
—Zarion works fishing in the river, standing belly-high in the water and snapping at fish, snakes, turtles, and even gators.
