In a corner of the greens, so far back that it is often missed for years at a time by the younger lairs, sits a gathering of dragons built around a series of caverns.
Serenade, the progenitor of this lair and its matriarch, gathers dragons to her bosom and, in time, sends them out into the world or to the Gladekeeper.
She has a bit of trouble telling the gender of the other dragons breeds — and there are not many Guardians in her lair — especially when they are hatchlings, and especially the Wildclaws and Imperials, as they were rare in her day. This is why the lair originally went with names similar to her own — words which in Common Draconic are both nouns and verbs — and why she is returning to that scheme in these later days, when the world seems to have found her lair again.
At the moment, Serenade is seeking out her descendants, hoping to experiment with the old lore that says that an egg between dam and son or damn and great-grandson will not propagate. How many generations? she wonders. And she has sent so many dragons out into the world for so many years…
She, always fond of blue, is also seeking to bring into her lair what is sometimes known as a triple or an XXX of every blue hue.
