I believe in magic and find the simplest things magical - a butterfly flitting around on flowers, a hummingbird hovering and then flying backwards, a Greyhound racing. I am passionate about my Greyhound habit, having owned 8 and fostered over a hundred LOL And if you really look at a Greyhound, there is a bit of dragon in them.
To stay true to my flight I do and will buy, hatch and raise dragons for the ultimate honor of serving theLightWeaver. This is indeed an honorable way for dragons to serve their flight. Be happy for those chosen to do the ultimate good for all of us. they are treated with love and respect by the GlitterMom. :) They have at least one day per week finding ways to surprise each other with Glitter Bombs and our wonderful Light Mom enjoys this time, often joining in. She loves all of her charges.
Walking through a Fairy Circle can make magic happen. It might change the color of a dragon, or change its genes or even its breed. Only the bravest set out to make an intentional trip through a Fairy Circle. Most dragons just step right into them when they are concentrating on something else. Just remember - Magic is Everywhere (Borrowed from MysticalDreamer - my auntie)
Clan Karma Information:
They are not mates. Their bond is stronger for it. Their bond is forged by the struggles they faced beside each other. They hatched into a hard life, one of toil and tears. They were slaves of the Beast Clan that stole them as eggs from the comfort of their nest. And while still in the clutches of the Beast Clan, they faced the worst treatment, being shackled together they did everything together. Together they cried, struggled and fought for their freedom. And OldOak and Hilda have been together ever since. Never knowing their own parents or family the created their own.
OldOak and Hilda now do their best to offer freedom, understanding and love to all dragons in need. OldOak watches quietly, ready to react if trouble comes their way and will mediate within their clan. Hilda can be the life of the party or the end of one. She has great strength, both emotional and physical and not only will she defend her clan fiercely, she will also be the one to kiss everyone goodnight, or to offer a hug when needed. In spite of her early life Hilda still has quite a sense of humor and OldOak says that is what helped him trudge along - and he helped her learn when to speak out and when it is best just to sit and watch. They even each other out.
Little by little The clan is coming together to find peace, love and kindness. And they all share the knowledge that together they can make all of their tomorrows the best possible.
Once fearing the size of the dragons, the Beasties, as they were known in this region, found that in large numbers they could out maneuver a single dragon, earning a new slave. As slaves these dragons dug for hours on end in the mines. Or they toiled in the heat of the kitchens, cooking huge meals to serve to the massive amounts of Beastie mouths. The meager meal of the dragons were cooking down in one cauldron – in spite of the diet needs to keep a dragon healthy – they were boiling down bones for a marrow broth that they would enhance with whatever they could scavenge safely.
They treated dragons horribly, often stealing eggs directly from the nest when the parents are distracted by their cohorts. One minute there are 4 eggs and then there are only 3. Parents mourn the loss of the hatchling that should have been there, ready to hatch in just a few more days.
Egg deliveries
I guess word has gotten out that we take in those that have been mistreated or stolen by the Beasties. And it seems that we have some sympathizers among the Beasties as well.
Every once in a while a Beastie will be seen on the outskirts of the clan, trying to make eye contact without getting too much attention. They have the best of intentions apparently as they will set an egg or a hatchling in the soft moss once someone sees that they are there. They set their bundle down and then back away with their head bowed, which must have some meaning within the Beastie society.
Hilda and OldOak have increased patrols, not to launch an attack on the friendly Beasties, but to be there to offer some food, warm clothing or even just a smile. Since the more frequent friendly patrols have started we have had a marked increase with how many Beasties wish to serve alongside our clan.
This is a new trend that brings hope to KarmaClan
Homes
Their shelters are comfy and airy with open sides to allow the breeze to float through and to let in all the sunlight during the day. The rooves are made from tree limbs and covered with Thatching made from palm leaves. There are many shelters in their lair area but there is also a cave used during the worst weather and it seems that no matter how large the clan gets, the cave always fits one more. Perhaps the GlitterMom sends her sprites to quietly enlarge the cave when news reaches her that more have come to seek refuge.
My Wish List:
