PythonPrincess' Clan

Squiggles left her original home in the Crystalspine Reaches, of Starfall Isles, to make her own life. She didn't have any parents, if she ever did no one remembered them; however, she had lots of "brothers" and "sisters" in her clan. She didn't leave because she was unhappy, instead in her adoptive clan it was a rite of passage for the eldest to venture out on their own when they have seen 5 dawns.

She was walking in the Highland Scrub that sweltering day when found the perfect nesting site that was shaded by a huge cliff that was nearly reaching the other side of the canyon. She began to carve out her sleeping area with her claws in the canyon wall centering it with the cliff overhang.

While she was clearing out the rubble and making the hole large enough for herself, she heard a quiet flapping sound nearby. Peering out of her cave, she spotted a little brown Fae who looked to be exhausted as he fluttered close to a cactus. She ambled over towards him so as to not frighten him off.

She introduced herself and in return he told her that his name is Vangerdahast. She asked him if he lived nearby. He told her he was trying to find a new home himself and had no memory of his past life. Seeing his eyes, she knew he was from Starfall Isles also, but where? This would be a wonderful mystery to solve - she loves mysteries!

They decided to finish the nest since the sun was setting fast and they needed shelter in case of any dangerous wildlife.

It's been a little while since these two strangers met. They've encountered a few ferocious wildlife and even managed to become familiar with several of them.

Other wandering dragons have stopped in for a rest and company. Some have decided to stay, while others have decided to move on or go off to serve Stormcatcher, the God of Lightning.

The dragons are thriving as a family, with Squiggles as their Matriarch and Vangerdahast as their Patriarch.

Squiggles doesn't have a permanent mate yet, but she has successfully raised a few clutches to hatchlings. Like in her first clan, when offspring born in the Strangeling Society (SS for short) reach their 5th dawning, they typically venture off to new lands in search of their own home and a mate or two.

It's been a while now. Squiggles and Vangerdahast have become very close since the last update. They've been almost exclusively together. Squiggles never imagined she'd fall in love with a little fae, but she knows in her heart, she has. Maybe in time, he will tell her how he feels about her too, but for now, they're content to love one another in secret.

Love is a mystery, Squiggles thought to herself. Here she was, a stranger in a strange land, a stranger to herself, living with strangers, and falling in love with a stranger. She giggled quietly to herself, "Strange how strange things get stranger when they become familiar."
