Lair of the Found
A place for orphans and the lost to find themselves and their destiny. Led by Dancer and Angitia, who were orphans that found each other by the Shadowbinder's guidance (or so they believe), the clan scours the whole world for eggs without caretakers, or lost dragons without a home. They nurture and educate, and most go on to find homes, or serve one of the deities (usually Shadowbinder, because Dancer and Angitia are devout), but a few stick around to help out the clan. Those that stick around generally fall into one of four guilds:

Gilded Nobles
Founded by Empress, and a friend who left the clan to find herself, these orphans have decided that their rare and luxurious colors mean they're nobility in the truest sense. They actively search out mates with similar colors, and with Angitia's help, make themselves the most beautiful (although there are also whispers of "gaudy") dragons they can be. The Nobles train in and excel in the arts.

The Thistles
The Thistles have a problem. The problem is that in many places Thistle is just not seen as a good color. It's bland, or ugly, or just too plain, and comes with the inevitable judging of a dragon based on colors. These dragons have formed a mutual admiration society to show off just how pretty Thistle can be. And because they know that looks aren't everything, the Thistles work hard at various useful crafts. Construction, gathering and preparing food, making clothing and jewelry, and the like.

The Warriors
Shogun, one of the first foundlings taken in by the clan (and then with his hatchling name of Watermelon), discovered a talent for fighting right out of the egg. Although younger than Dancer, he was better at that than anyone, and ended up leading the small force that protects the clan from threats, and also makes forays out to fight Shade-touched monsters for glory and prizes!

THe Mages' Circle
Angitia discovered all kinds of magic in her youth, and strove to learn them. She began as a battle mage, but then expanded her talents into alchemy and sorcery. Other magic workers in the clan follow her lead, and just about every kind of magic is celebrated.

Except necromancy. Going down that path generally considered to be an apocalypse waiting to happen.
