Redslip island was once a beautiful place to visit located on the water/plague border. It was known for its vibrant red sand and dirt, caused by iron runoff from the Wasteland. The town of Redslip was joyful, vibrant, and easygoing.
When the Tidelord disappeared the island itself seemed to cry out, splitting violently down the middle and leaving a massive rift behind. Dragons fled in panic, leaving behind anything deemed unimportant in their terror.
Those who stayed have dedicated their time to rebuilding, settling into a rough campsite built on the northern edge of the Rift. Dragons began mining into the Rift for stone to rebuild and found that alongside the stone there were gems and minerals aplenty to mine and sell, offering a decent way to begin trading again.
Since their previous leader and counsel had fled, Karuk has stepped up to lead with Baz and Atzuz as advisors. Combined with three prophets, one each of Water, Earth, and Plague, they try to keep order and calm within the camp. But the dragons are unsettled, hungry, and afraid. Fights break out often, becoming harder to smooth out every time.
Karuk is afraid there will be nothing left here, soon.
