The Keepers of the Astral Stone, or KotAS, guard a small metallic claw-shaped pendant called the Astral Stone. It connects with the spirit realm and allows spirits to contact living dragons. Not all spirits are kind, however, and so the dragons of KotAS are haunted. Quinn, the unofficial leader, is the main caretaker of the stone, and rarely lets anyone else touch it despite the nasty side effects of being bombarded by ghosts. The most the others can do is keep him calm and sane, a task much easier said than done.

Not all ghosts are bad, however, and the clan has developed friendships towards some of them. Lux Spectres in particular frequent the clan, providing a source of soft, somewhat eerie light at night.

The clan mostly consists of various dragons from different backgrounds, wandering, who stumbled upon the clan and swore secrecy to the Stone. Many fear the day that the Arcanist learns of it.
