I think a Primary gene that preserves a lot of darkness in the color would be best so you get the contrast and can fully enjoy the vibrant green Thylacine stripes.

Well with Thylacine, using Stripes as the secondary looks pretty cool. It's a tough call on the primary though, imo. Iri is a bit too light in that color so you lose some effectiveness of the Thylacine... Maybe Poison? Or Ripple?
