The Lair of Misfit Dragons
Not all Dragons fit the mold set by their breed. Of course, all have their quirks. Being of the same breed does not mean all the dragons are exactly the same. They need their small quirks to survive as a species.
But there are some who go beyond these small quirks.
Some have tried to stay hidden within their own clan. Staying quiet and agreeing with the others in order to have some semblance of fitting in.
Others were driven out. The differences being too strong to ignore any longer.
Still more were auctioned off. Sold to the highest bidder.
Few left of their own free will. They could no longer stand the stares. The whispers. The things left unspoken.
There were two that fit none of these.
These two dragons were well within the bounds that were considered "normal". One had found his charge and the other had found her mate.
Soon they met a group of wanderers. They offered the group shelter for the night. The wanderers accepted.
The Guardian and the Fae soon learned at least some of the story. They were all misfits. All had left their previous clan for various reasons and were now searching for a place to call their own.
The one night turned into two. Then two into three. Before the two knew it, the wanderers had stayed for several weeks. They had grown attached to the ragtag crew. They were family.
They asked the wanderers to stay, and they accepted.
Word spread throughout Sornieth of their strange clan. The clan where misfits are welcomed with open arms. The clan that offers a home to those who feel they have none. The clan where everyone is family no matter how long they have been there. The clan where they are still family even if they leave. The clan where some leave only to return with others. The Clan for Misfit Dragons.
