You have come a long way to stumble upon The Invictus Clan...
Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit From pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
-William Ernest Henley (1849–1903)
I am Macabre. This clan houses the indomitable and fearless... we are considered outcasts, horrors, and aberrations. Some of us have been exiled or abandoned, some even brought back from the brink of death, but we are masters of ourselves. We bring innovation and advancement to the clan through sheer determination and prowess in many fields. We purge weakness and conquer the strong, and we are never fazed by what others consider impossible. We have currently returned to our homeland in the Wastes, but we will likely move on again in the future. Staying in one place does not encourage one to grow and adapt... But we will always call one place home. |
