Deep in the heart of the Tangled Wood, if you make a left — no, not after that tree, the next one, honestly you folks from foreign flights are hopeless — and scrounge through the brambles for a while, you may start to notice the glitter of a Fae nest or two, high up in the trees. There are dragons here, you may think, awed, and sure enough: the trees open up and there is the ruin of an old temple, dragon-made additions built in mud and bones and sticks, with dragons perched on crumbling walls and curled up in self-made dens. Pearlcatchers sprawl on what could have once been altars, lazily trading bits of gossip, and dragons speed by so fast their species are indecipherable. A Skydancer watches you from high up in a tree; from a self-made den scrabbled out of a looming pine a Mirror gives a rattling hiss.
