Greetings! I'm Jade. On behalf of myself and Ygritte, I'd like to welcome you to the lair of the Bright Stone Clan. Feel free to look around and meet the dragons. Friend requests and hatchling letters are welcome.

My dragons are happy to help other clans diversify their gene pool, so send me a message if any of your dragons would like to breed with one of mine or if you would like to request a hatchling from a particular pair of my dragons. I'm also happy to rent nests for 5K if you'd like babies with Light eyes.

Lore and History of the Bright Stone Clan:

The Bright Stones originated in the Starwood Strands led by a trio of close knit tundras. For many years the clan consisted mainly of tundras and faes with a few wild mirrors who shared the area and a pair of female guardians who watched over the smaller dragons. The clan grew, diversified, and recruited many dragons in need. Ygritte and Kelpie have always welcomed new members with open claws whether they want to stay for a few days or become permanent members of the group, and while the clan leaders remain dedicated followers of the Arcanist, as do many of the Bright Stones, they accept dragons who worship any deity. For most of their lives the Bright Stones have resided happily in a large cave and among the trees of Starfall Isle. Unfortunately, an ever growing group of Serthis had begun encroaching on the clan's territory, driving them out with increasingly vicious attacks. After the tragic loss of Summer and Honduras' hatchlings and a countless number of eggs, the Bright Stones decided it was time to find a new home and made the treacherous journey across the Scarred Wastelands to rebuild on the opposite coast. They've carved out a new lair on the coast of the Sunbeam Ruins and have remained there ever since.

As well as celebrating the eleven elemental holidays, The Bright Stone clan takes naming very seriously and holds naming ceremonies for all hatchlings and new members. Older dragons may choose their own names, while hatchlings are presented by their parents with a list of potential names which the clan votes on. Once the new dragons' identities have all been announced, the clan celebrates with music, dances, and a feast in honor of the new members. This tradition started after Ygritte and Kelpie promised their first born to the Arcanist, who, unfortunately, made good on their wishes just as their daughter was hatching and whisked her away before she'd been properly christen. This loss of connection with their child made the clan leaders vow that no other dragon would ever leave the Bright Stone's lair without an identity again.

I would like to take a moment to discuss some additional lore that I feel is important to the interpretation of my dragons' interactions that doesn't really belong in their personal descriptions. There's no official mention anywhere on this site of the specifics of dragon breeding, but due to the size differences in all the dragons who can still have babies together, I believe that eggs are laid in the nests and then fertilized externally by whichever male a female wishes to share genes with or whichever male happens by--no touching required. This is how most of my clan's children come to be. However, dragons also often have mates or lovers close in size to themselves, which is why there are a number of dragons I have who are in relationships, who also have hatchlings by multiple dragons they aren't romantically interested in. I just wanted to clear that up, because some of my dragons are very much in love, but the clan promotes and practices genetic diversity through external reproduction before they return to their paramours for snuggletimes. ^_^
