The Grand Glacius Academy

All across Sornieth there is a demand for refined courtesans, vivacious dancers, and eye catching artists. The creation of such dragons takes experienced guidance. Glacius Academy was founded to provide just that service to all of Sornieth’s budding talents.

Once officially under the care of the institution students are provided with board, food, clothing, and a small allowance. The primary focus always remain refining their natural talents. Students remain at the school for five years all the while being tested, challenged, and prepped to be placed once they graduate from the academy. Each school year lasts a year and a half with very limited breaks in between. Once a student proves they’re ready they are elevated to the next stage. Those starting out are referred to as Novices. During the second year and a half period they become Mediums. For their final period of training students become Ultims are often called upon to showcase the results of a full Glacius education.

But things are not always as they seem. Story, a new Novice at the school as quickly learned that the academy’s rigor sometimes boarders on the cruel. Students are pitted against each other and simultaneously pushed to the breaking point with brutal workloads and high expectations. Jaded teachers provide no help and older students, fearful of losing whatever power they’ve managed to earn, rarely offer aid to their younger classmates. As Story unravels the pasts of those around her she begins to realize that perhaps escape is just as unobtainable as help.
