Nah, it's fine to use the search. That's what its' there for. We just need some more time with the additional search fields so it doesn't make so much "ouch" to our sever. There's something funny going on that we didn't catch on our test environment. We're back to the default choices.

(it resulted in some alarming traffic that we'll need to resolve - we need some more time to analyze this.) We’re going to make some changes and bring it back at a later time. :)

And it wasn't your fault for hitting it so hard. The search should be able to stand up to that kind of abuse. We'll work on it. :)

There's a couple issues with this, so we may be reverting back for the night. Programmers gotta make some changes, as this could be more efficient then it is. (or you guys are just hitting this really hard because it's new.)

@EllieAlice, hitting the filter (when you see asterisks in your post) is not an issue; getting around the filter so that the word you want to use is readable is.

Gilded chests have always had a chance at turning up 1 star items But they also have a chance at 3-4 star items, award more treasure, and award more gems.

(since scatterscroll we take nothing for granted) Before I replied, I did open 99 gilded and 99 iron chests to verify that nothing had changed. None of the code surrounding the chests or the chests themselves have changed, but we double check and attempt to reproduce most bug reports.

To help demonstrate, I just now opened and screenshotted 20 iron chests and 20 gilded. This is all in a row, and not a "pick and choose what I screenshot" sampling. Here they are if you want to see. In all cases, I hovered over the highest star rating familiar or apparel item. Any additional familiar or apparel items are the same amount of stars or less.Chests are behaving as they should.

If you do not like how chests are set up, that is more of a suggestion than a bug. They are working as intended, and have not been changed since the game went online. I hope this helps to show how the chests work. It's tough to see if you only open a few at a time, but when you can open a stack of them, it becomes apparent very quickly that gilded chests award more currency and higher star value items. :)

@nika They're higher than other gathered familiars because:

• They are newer
• They are a 5-star exclusive-gathering familiar (none of the other 5-stars before megashrimp and trunkers were exclusive)
• You need above the minimum gathering skill to harvest them, something new accounts do not have.

The tapirs can be gathered from all zones past level 20. Though you won't find a grasslands trunker in a zone where you can find a moordwelling one. Since they're a 5 star familiar, they're liable to turn up more frequently than rainbow star familiars.

The Tomo question submissions from yesterday were fun. I'd like to do that again in the future, and I hope that everyone who submitted is getting a kick out of seeing Tomo ask their questions. :) We had 59 new questions added as a result of the thread last night. I added in a few staff additions, and we are up to 411 trivia questions (up from the 265 we launched with.) I'd like to see that number grow to 2K. As things stand currently, you would encounter most of the questions after 40 days have passed. It would be nice to keep things fresher longer!

There has been no change to them, deliberate or with any code touching the chest.

@Dragon, moderators are volunteers, they are not hired as it is an unpaid gig. :) We choose them, we don't hire them. It's a fine but important difference. They are normal players with some additional responsibilities.

We evaluate where things are and go through our applications as needed.

No changes have been made to their content percentages since launch. If we make a change of this nature, it would be noted in the changelog of an update. :)

@ErwilMinsa, we don't have a date yet for the next registration window. When we do, we will announce it on the front page and on our social media.
