Always seen at Ren's side, Serrano is a bit blunt and bitter to strangers. However, his devotion to the health of the clan at whole betrays his soft spot for his people.

He was denied a medical license on account of 'wild ideas', of which he is still sore over. It hasn't stopped him from offering medical advice.
