Elemental wings? Wind=wind wings (like primal eyes)
TOPIC | Secondary Gene Suggestions
i definitely think there should be a gradient gene.
the base of the wing closest to the dragon can be the dragon's secondary color (for example, cherry), and the edge of the wing can slowly blend into an analogous color. in the case of cherry being the secondary color, it could blend into a bright orange. orange-ish colors can blend into yellow, yellow colors can blend into green, green colors can blend into blue, blue colors can blend into purple, and purple colors can blend into pink.
brown colors can also blend into an orangey color. blacks can blend into whites, and vice versa.
i think it'd be a fun alternative for players who want a secondary gene other than basic that isn't too busy.

Maybe something like a base of the secondary color, and then black speckled dots clustered at the edges? A reverse version of piebald, if you will.

What about something like watercolor?
I'm picturing something kind of like piebald/paint, but instead of having that harsh division between the color and white it would kind of blend and fade, with areas that are darker and areas that are lighter, like you see in some watercolor pieces.

Okay, bear with me because this is my first fake gene -- ever. I've drawn accents before, so this is pretty much how I decided to go about this. This is a rough rough rough markup because I have no idea how to create fake genes.
So, I decided to run with @/terhothyl's idea of the Runes compliments. This is what I came up with, in Silver.

for the sake of keeping the post small i took out your other examples :'D hope you don't mind!
but yes hello that inspired me to make a mockup that's... glowy. i like glowy.

What about a gene that mimics stained glass?

I'm sure, noone will take this into consideration, since i realize how difficult this gene would be, to make it work out, but i was thinking about... Another pair of wings! Basically would add a pair of wings that are smaller, below, in front, behind, on wings, or whatever would work better. Color on default and smaller wings would pretty much look like a basic, but it could have some sort of different feather markings or gradient to it.
I believe it would fit in all colors, it probably wouldn't work with some primary and tertiary genes for sure, but i think, people, who like unnatural or mythical stuff may enjoy something like this? Just an idea.

I would love a secondary (and primary) with a dendritic, fractal-y, tree-like pattern. I would be really cool for nature and lightning (and even plague and earth) dragons especially, but also for dragons/people who just really like trees. Something like these:
