Okay, Sorry to quote myself, but I was so taken with this idea, I made a couple of attempts at this. I tried it out for a Cobalt primary on a male Pearlcatcher. The first one ended up looking more like a clear gemstone than a liquid, but in the second one I tried to create more of an underwater effect. If anybody wants to try to improve/modify it, feel free.

For example, radioactive could have dark blue base, which fades into a blue-green similar to spearmint and stars could be bright green, eye-stabbing pink and some red.
Some would end up more subdued, of course, which would make them versatile. : D
