Random Ideas I have come up with:
If its not already available, maybe translucent dragons? It would be like glass dragons but tinted whatever color they are supposed to be. Would be cool if there was a translucent gene where you could see their organs as well but that would take a while to draw.
Geode dragons. A dark colored dragon with a large crack on its chest full of crystals of its primary color.
virtiligo
Albino (pastel version of color choosen with red eyes)
Melanism (darker version of color choosen with dark colored eyes)
Half of body is one color the other half is another

I would love to see a gene pair like Merle / Marble / Harlequin, or Roan

What about a gene style that gives the appearance of a cheetah's coat pattern? Like, Cheetah (primary) and Serval (secondary), or something like that. Just a thought...

So I was looking at the spirit animals, and I thought: why not based new genes off them? It'd have swirly pattern inside the dragon, gradient color and dusting glitter. Here's a rough mock up on a random moon+pear tundra. I sampled the accent colors off Trail/Pinstripe. I got lazy at the wings but you get the idea.

bioluminosity i drew galaxy/nebula before bee/wasp were made.
I think they fit the bill of what I was going for anyway with even more detail and design than I had. I'm quite satisfied with them.

Gradient (primary) and Fade (secondary).
Basically, whatever color a dragon is given would display the darkest to lightest end of that color's individual spectrum.
White being the exception with the range blending from lightest (white) to darkest (silver/grey) instead.

Stone/statue primary that makes the dragon look like it's made of stone?

This sort of gravelly roughness, maybe the colors could be diluted a bit. What do y'all think?

If it's done well it'd definitely look fantastic. I support this idea.
