Betta Genes
They would have to be altered to fit dragons better of course, and I don't have the time to do mock ups right now (might ask my friend to do it tomorrow instead, they're better at it than me haha), but I think they have so many different looks, there's lots of gene potential from them!
(Note that these are photos of my friend's bettas, not my own! And she does not keep them in cups, cups just tend to be better for photo taking)
Most betta bodies are probably too "plain" to make a new gene idea, or match genes that already exist (basic, piebald, iridescent, metallic, even poison sometimes), but I think there's potential for a "tri-colour" primary gene! As the name implies, the body has three colours on it. I think the base colour (as in, Azure TriColour) would be dominant, but there would be two other colours present on the dragon body. Here's some fish examples!
You can see pink, a bit of blue, and red on this boy's body
This girl (though the lighting doesn't show it well) is orange, black, and blue-ish white
Definitely mostly blue, with a bit of purple and "flesh" colour
Pink, purple, and dark red
Bright blue, with black and a small bit of white
Sort of a platinum colour, with red and purple (there's also a touch of white - this guy's quite interesting).
Name ideas are Tricolour, Betta, and Marble (if called Marble, perhaps you guys could show variance between the hatchling look and the adult look. Marble bettas change colour, so perhaps the hatchlings could have a lot of all three colours, but then the colours shift and the patches of the two accent colours would shrink on the adult dragons. Just an idea)

EarthTiger pinging myself, as I plan to add the rough idea of what I think/my friend thinks the gene could look like
