I like this a lot but wouldn't put the ones on the wings!! And maybe have cabochons on the eye corners instead of the forehead? It's super pretty tho and could really save bad terts as you said! Love that it uses accent colors, we need terts with that.

Huh, I did not know there was a thread for this.
I don't have anything to show, merely a suggestion. We have tertiaries that only interact with the primary (runes, okapi, etc) ..can we have a tertiary that only interacts with the secondary, please? There are many times I wish I could have a tert only show on the wings and it's a shame we still don't have something that does that.

I can see this as a primary gene as well.
Something that adds seeds and a secondary color to the belly on a dragon - similar to something like glitter, capsule, or underbelly.
The color is based of something more like trail or toxin, where sometimes there's a completely different base color.
The gene would be called "dragonfruit!"

Wish I was good at art, if I was I'd draw my idea out.
Basically my idea is a tert that compliments starmap, but isn't exclusive to it. Something to do with the moon/sun/stars.
EX: Sun pattern on wings, moon phases on the dragon's side, stars on joints, ect.

So I've been thinking of a new gene, and it's kind of an expansion of the capsule gene. Instead of it being just on the underside of a dragon it comes out of the dragons mouth, like a capsule dragon has gotten filled and the excess spills from them. Maybe even form a small puddle under dragons like bogs or snapps.
It's been pointed out to me that this could possible look like vomit (which wasn't my intentions.) I was thinking more around the lines of like the Shadowbinder and how she has the black goop around and under her. With this gene it can be something like waterfall or lava or even the green goo from nickelodeon. But yes I do know see how it can be interpreted as vomit, though that wasn't my intentions. But with all genes (especially tertiary, in my eyes) certain colors will be sought after more than others and maybe a few people will want there dragons to perpetually sick.

I 100% Support this, I love the idea and how varied it makes the dragons look. I feel like we need a new look to the dragons because it starts to get very old.

Hmmm... how about Patches? I don't have any visual examples, so hopefully I can explain it well enough--
Essentially, the tert color is splotched all over the body, as if it were like color patches on a calico cat (except they'd all be one color, instead of white/orange/black)
