A fractured gene

Similar to circuit but a a broken glass/cracked patter.

It would be amazing for lighting or veins
Ithe could make some really cool root/vine dragons too

Fun and quickly adds interest without being overwhelming. Probably a Baldwin gene (In order: Shadow, nightshade, honey, hickory) This seems very artificial, how would this work in lore and be inherited? Well it could work as a genetic skin condition where skin becomes thick, cracked and discolored, stitching is done to prevent infection by closing the cracks.
OMG THIS Yeah I kinda need this in my life... omg it's just sooo wonderful, I think this could be great also for the tertiary color curse to put it in those words, horrible tertiary colors might actually look okay/good with this gene
Yes please! 100% support this is super nice, it would definitely solve the problem of a bad tert color and balance out the dragon at the same time
This has to be one of the best idea I've seen on this thread - it's simple and fun, I love it :D
This would he awesome as a pre halloween/plague fest release
Mistfall suggested this as a primary gene, but I wanted to come suggest it here because I personally think it would work much better as a tertiary. Bioluminescent spots. They could be along the wing edges and possibly the wing arm, on any frills/horns the different breeds have, maybe a few under the eyes, down along the back and tail... I'll use the PSDs and try out a few examples to post cuz I'm interested in actually seeing it myself and playing around with what would look best XD Here's a Guardian Female example, Obsidian/Black/Leaf I'm sure the great artists of FR would make it look even cooler, but there's enough for a basic idea of what it could look like anyway XD
How has this not been done yet!? It's simple, yet pretty imo EDIT: Idk where the link to the image is, but look on the first page if you want a visual

Using this standard, this is how the gene would look: Venom has the potential, depending on which of the 177 colours the tert is in, to look monochrome, muted, eyeburning, or anything in-between. Just tertiaries that match with primary/secondary pairs - or tertiaries that look clean on genes other than basic/irishim/cryface/metalloy/etc. So many terts are so busy that it's nearly impossible to find a non-gem gene they don't clash with. I really like a lot of the genes, tertiary and otherwise, but I'd like to have more options that -work- together, ya know?
I’m just here because I want a Tertiary that will look good with python and morph because I honestly hate all terts currently available when paired with python and morph. So to fix my problem I’d like to see more animal inspired patterns as genes of all kinds of animals as primary’s, secondary’s, and more importantly tertiarys because we have so many artificial looking terts that just don’t seem to fit with more of our newer genes. In fact many newer genes are having cool patterns on their bellies but we have so many belly genes that just cover it all up or genes that just don’t seem to fit with these genes so I suggest looking to the animal kingdom for ideas on animal based genes that can cover both small areas and larger areas of the dragon.

The strange, artificial ones can be really really cool, but when I have a dragon that has jaguar spots everywhere, it would be really cool to have some more natural looking genes in the mix to put over top.

Particularly with the latest primaries/secondaries added, it would be nice to have something that doesn't cover up their patterns. It could even include claws and/or tongues, and perhaps a little gradient on the horns or fins

Woah, yes. That would be such a great way to accent the unique traits of each breed, which sometimes get lost when all the colors blend.

Alright I saw someone mention this in discussion but I’ll restate it here because obviously it appears it haven’t be suggested in this forum for a while.

So Constellations - a gene for us people who want to see stars and galaxies on our dragons without total chaos or getting a skin or accent. So I’m assuming people don’t just want some slapped together gene that looks like ghost(sorry ghost but the poor quality was a big nope for me and I’m assuming other because it looked really flat) I’d say it should be another gem tert like opal. So I’d be fine if the staff took their time with it and made it glorious and not appear flat and unappealing.
(I’ll probably add examples later but idk)

But we also need more simple terts and animal/nature inspired terts to go with our newer genes, please?
