It upsets me.
I know I'm being picky and I don't want to sound unappreciative but some of the genes on Gaolers just don't work with Multi-Gaze. Specifically Scorpion and Shardflank.

You can see the eyes over the shards on this guy near the shoulder. It really just ruins the effect of the gene/eyes for me. I know it was probably just an oversight but I wanted to bring it up for future updates maybe?

Scorpion does the same thing in a way but it's a little more consistent I guess (Idk how to describe it) It just doesn't look right with the eyes on the scorpion but I don't think there's a way to change this because of how much space scorpion takes up on the dragon itself.
I really don't mean to sound rude I just wanted to point this out :P Other than that I love the Gaoler stuff~ (Keep it up FR devs [emoji=familiar heart size=1])

The same is true for Gembond and Scales on some other breeds.

To be honest, I think it's just accepted that some eye types don't work on some dragons. I don't think there's anything to talk about.

It might be too late to fix it if it conflicts with the interests of a sizable amount of users. We're talking about updating the art on a dragon. But I see what you mean. It looks glitchy.

I understand the concern of changing the appearance of dragons, always, but I can't imagine someone being upset about a fix for this, especially for shardflank, where the eyes appear over parts of the dragon that aren't even supposed to be attached to the side of the body where the eyes are. It does look like a glitch or oversight-
the whole point of ancients were to be able to have terts that break the lineart, and I think it would make sense for that to mean if could bend the rules around eye types as well.

I think the entire issue is that it isn't just a simple art fix, it is that they would have to rewrite how eyes are displayed.
As far as I know, the way an image is generated is something like this:
Dragon
Genes
Skins
Eyes
Apparel.
This means that eyes will always layer OVER genes and skins, but under apparel.
Truthfully, I am not sure they could rewrite the system to account for various terts, because then it would probably be affected by skins (ie skins could potentially hide extra eyes or any 'line' breaking eye type).
The only other way to do it would be to manually go through and redraw each and every instance of multigaze (and any other eye variant that might have problems with terts) to account for all terts. Making it so that multigaze changes if you have scorpion say would mean they have to recode the eye mechanic again to check to see WHAT terts a dragon has (and this couldn't just be for ancients, as I can easily see players getting upset about modern dragons and certain terts) and then pulling up that particular image.
While it is certainly doable, I think it would eventually become a complicated mess, where one eye variant might itself have dozens or more variants due to terts that have to be avoided. (because multigaze to avoid shardflank might not work for scorpion, and where the eyes need to go for scorpion to work correctly might not work for a future tert)
I feel that if this is the case (and it isn't a simple fix) then it could mean fewer terts like gembond or scorpion or fewer eye types like multigaze and primal (though I don't think primal interferes with terts and skins, just apparel) that break the 'lines' of the eye.

So I see what you're saying, but I agree with Jema. I feel like it's not a simple fix at all, and would represent a fundamentally different way of displaying eye types.
Just don't get a dragon with multigaze and linebreaking terts. I know that sort of sucks to hear, but there are plenty of other options to choose from, even with Gaelors.

Yes, we can talk about this - what bothers me the most about multigaze on gaolers is... where are the eyes attached. Do they float on the fluff??? Are the eyes on some sort of eye-stalks??? I feel like some eye types should have been drawn to indicate the fluff instead of simple copy-paste job they look like now, but I don't think it's a fixable issue.

Yep this is something that should be talked about if people are bothered.
Given they created a new breed, they could have at least given the various eyes some consideration during the design process to keep conflicts like that to a minimum.
This may sound harsh, but... It just looks sloppy, it's not like with Modern breeds where they had to make the eyes work with existing dragon designs and couldn't change anything to make them fit better. Gaolers could have been done to incorporate those elements more cohesively even if just in very small ways like adjusting the placement of specific eyes slightly..... and instead we got the same slapped on eye stickers completely devoid of connection to the bodies beneath. Only with the line breaking terts it looks even worse and more obvious how divorced from the anatomy beneath they are.
Another thing that bugs me is, the line of Scorpion follows the top of the spine? And then the bottom apparently, I guess. But the eyes on the tail are skewed from where the spine lays according to scorpion. They could at least have made those line up consistently to whatever the anatomy is intended to be.
The lack of consistency shouldn't be excused with "welp, guess some things just look terrible, nothing to be done!" It may be too late to fix these issues, but going forward where there is the opportunity and freedom to do so there should be more attention paid to how the dragon designs (particularly Ancients) act as a whole and not just each element in isolation. And not talking about it doesn't help that happen.
I like Gaolers, but I'd have liked if they actually looked good with the special eyes -you know, the ones staff consider so special that we're not allowed to have a reliable way to influence them on the dragons of our choice, just to keep them extra "special". But apparently they're not special and important enough to make sure they work even marginally well with the new breed and genes.

Multigaze looks so sloppy with shardflank, which is a shame because the eyes running down the tail is super cute. Especially since Ancients can't wear clothing, I think it's fair to expect eyes to look better on them.
