Ideas and suggestions are more than welcome so post em below! The list will grow with time. Some of these may repeat or be based on the same idea because they can work really well as both Vistas and Scenes; it is up to the Staff to decide what is better. I will also be making art potentially for every scene. It will consist of only a lineart sketch and it will have no colours to save my sanity. If I manage to learn how to speedpaint while I'm a mortal, then maybe. In the meantime, I'll be posting some referential images if I have the proper material available (sadly, they're mostly outdated and I don't want to post those screenshots because I know I can do better) ----- [center][b]Scenes[/b][/center] [b]Nature & scenery[/b] [b]Apiary[/b] - I know we just got a beehive-based Scene but not everyone wants their dragons to be inside a giant hive, some people just want a flowering field with some artificial beehives! Concept: flowering meadow with poppies, cornflowers and similar, some stone walls or dry dirt pathways in between patches of flowers, wooden and mud beehives amongst the flowers, honey-filled jugs next to them, and some nearby trees like a willow and a birch tree. Warm colours. I highly recommend you look up mud beehives and mud behive houses, they are gorgeous and incredibly aesthetic. Perfectly 'magical' for a dragon planet. [img]https://i.imgur.com/7teElex.jpg[/img] [b]Pond[/b] - a small shallow body of water, perhaps even artificially made, with bullrush, papyrus, several other reeds, waterlilies, giant lily pads, duckweed and the like, greenish-blue water, surrounded by a grove of trees, also some frogs, waterfowl, fireflies and dragonflies, perhaps some small wooden pier. Semi-warm colours. Golden colours with some bright green wheat plots. Istria is known for lavender and lavender fields, and tbh they're so aesthetical. Just beautiful rows of lavender bushes, red soil, some white walls, maybe some buildings in the background too. Warm or vibrant colours, sundown perhaps. Dust blowing over the road in the distance and a clear, sunny, afternoon sky above. Sandy dunes as far as the eye can see, a blueish-green lake surrounded by lots of palm trees, bright blue sky, no clouds, and a small wooden boat stranded on the shore. Greenish colours. A green, grassy plot of land, rows of fruit trees, some small wooden ladders leaned against the trees, and some baskets on the ground, filled with fruit, sunlight passing through the trees. Beautiful green hills with endless rows of vineyards, a small wooden fence in the front, maybe some buckets and barrels next to it. Green colours. If I tried climbing the stairs in Baredine today, I think I would pass out, that was terrifying. So many stairs...... Anyway, caves in karst regions are probably my favourite types of caves because of their incredibly beautiful geology. As I already mentioned, Baredine is the perfect example and it would be fantastic if it was used as reference. It's 132 meters deep and around 300 meters long, and the cave is golden, glistening, with beautiful lakes and stunning stalactites, stalagmites and stalagnates. Could also be a cave with cave paintings! You can throw in super tall cacti as well. [b]Xeric shrublands & spiny thickets[/b] - based on shrublands and succulent woodlands of Madagascar. Baobab-like trees, dry shrubbery, low grass, thorny thicket, swampy areas. Lots of warm, red and orange colours. Birch, oak, chestnut, weeping willow trees, some pollen and leaves as accentual particles. Summer colours if possible.[/s] [i]NICE[/i] [b]Volcano vent[/b] - not your classic dark volcano setting because we have one in Volcanic Vents, how about a more colourful and slightly brighter version, still with dark basalt and hardened lava, but also with light smoke, acidic lake and Sulphur deposits [b]Volcano[/b] - I think a completely volcanic environment that's singed, barren, black and grey, no vegetation, just lava and hardened lava is kinda overrated and unrealistic. How about we get an environment similar to Tanzania and South Africa, specifically Ol Doinyo Lengai environment where you can see the large, looming volcano in the background, and then the black but fertile soil beneath. Throw in some water and some smaller vents and you got it! I don't think so but....floating islands in an Avatar style would be SO COOL. Alien flora & fauna!!!!! [b]Goldslab ruins/Central American scenery[/b] - that would be SO GOOD for Nature. You could mix it up with the Angkor Wat temple and Machu Picchu plus the Goldslab aesthetic. Just imagine how cool that could be!! [s][b]Treehouses[/b] - again, amazing for Nature. As far as I know, gladiator arenas were fairly decorated for the fights and events, so having stuff thrown in there would be great.[/s] [i]NICE[/i] [img]https://i.imgur.com/myBf1gv.jpg[/img] [s][b]Ruins[/b] - the Rockbreaker's scene worked incredibly well[/s] [s]Greek or Roman-like architecture - Light-related, some white and partially-coloured stone ruins of a temple on a rocky hill, imposing columns with etched runes, some small shrubbery and bushes surrounding it, barren rocky hill, perhaps a coniferous tree and the sea in the background. Bright warm colours Honestly, the Brightshine scene captured that really well, but I think some more visible ruins would also work[/s] [i]NICE.[/i] Earthshaker's Domain works [img]https://i.imgur.com/ifRqWAc.jpg[/img] [b]Exotic city[/b] - You know the aesthetic of The Golden City vista? Yeah, that. Beautiful, golden, Arabian-esque buildings with fantastical characteristics, tall towers, ogee arched gates and windows, palm trees, exotic gardens, some tropical birds flying overhead. Vibrant colours. [b]Bazaar[/b] - the Marketplace but visualised. Rows of wooden stands with lots of fruit, vegetables, ornate jewellery and vases, pots, carpets, linens, jugs, seashells, plants, tables, chairs, pillows and so on. There were also less eye-catching hippodromes but the Lageion one was similar in structure to a "circus" aka stadium. Greeks usually went all out on their architecture and this building wasn't any less impressive. I think the interior of the hippodrome would make more sense but HEY, anything is good. You can imagine the tracks as dry dirt with chariot tracks on them, you can picture the tracks also with semi-circular ends, with pillars and posts in between, lots of silks and flowers and flags. It was constructed in a pre-Romanesque style, similar to the Church of St. Donatus, to maintain a specific aesthetic and theme so it can blend in with the environment and surrounding architecture. Since Istria and Dalmatia were occupied by Italy/Ancient Rome throughout the history, they had an influence on the art and architecture there. SO, with that said, I highly recommend looking into it for inspiration and reference. Beautiful intricate walls, large columns holding a stunning ceiling, wooden tables with candles and tons of scrolls on them, fancy chairs for sitting, torches for illuminating the place, shelves and pigeonholes for lots of scrolls, potted plants and sculptures. Would be great to be released after the Map update. [s][b]Sorcerer scene[/b] - with runes and spellcasting circles beneath the dragon (sorry, I'm not specialised in that sort of aesthetic)[/s] [i]NICE.[/i] The Starfall scene is perfect for that! ----- [center][b]Vistas[/b][/center] [b]Arts, crafts & culture:[/b] [b]Wine cellar[/b] - large horizontal wine barrels and some crates with wine bottles in the background, one open bottle and a wine glass in the front, a corkscrew and a corkscrew opener right besides the bottle (this page is PG-13, teenagers know that alcohol exists, it shouldn't be a problem) [b]Pottery shop[/b] - lots of large, medium and small pots in the background, some pots in the front, lots of ornamental ceramics and terracotta bowls, plates, platters, ceramic vases, etc and a stack of plates next to the avatar; simple. [b]Tailor[/b] - something very similar to the background of the Dressing Room but with its special charm; in the background hung cloth fabrics with fancy and busy patterns, may be oriental, a shawl and a pincushion in the front [b]Knitting[/b] - now something more conventional aka knitting! Sweaters and cute wool plushies in the background, and balls of wool, knitting needles and a partially finished cloth surrounding the avatar (as suggested by Snowballars) [b]Seaspray[/b] - a vista that goes very well with the apparel and cycles back when the apparel does too. A ship deck and the sea in the background, the rudder partially visible and in the front, and a map, an anchor, some rope and doubloons surrounding the avatar (suggested by CrazyCake) [b]Technology[/b] - technology related vista, most likely either Lightning or Arcane based. A mysterious room with cool robotics in the background, and scraps, wires, bolts and fragments in the front and around the avatar (suggested by TheGodOfStories) [b]Minerals[/b] - something for my other fellow mineral collectors and enthusiasts, a vista that's mainly concentrated on different types of minerals, all natural of course. A showcase with all sorts of different minerals in the background (Obsidian, Autunite, Diopside, Bismuth, Kyanite, Aragonite, Jasper, Pyromorphite, etc) and some geodes and clusters surrounding the avatar [s][b]Feathers[/b] - feathery, extravagant and ornamental or tribal feather decorations, can come with masks or without, something mysterious (suggested by Johan)[/s] [b]Canopic jar[/b] - something based on the funerary rites and embalming, I think a lot of people would like that one; slightly ominous, fire-lit temple room with a stone slab "desk", some salt, a knife, candles and canopic jars are on it, and a canopic jar, some embalming tatters and incense is around the avatar [s][b]Dark "edgy" vista[/b] - something similar to the Nightmare Pass vista but actually obtainable. A dark and mysterious background with a reddish hue and antlers and bones in the front (suggested by Laluzi)[/s] [b]Theatre[/b] - an architectural hybrid of Ancient Greek theatre and modern European/Western theatre; an open theatron and orchestra, made of stone, like most of the things in Sunbeam Ruins, the scene is a wooden structure with beautiful red curtains, fancy tables on the set and folding screens for the cast to stand behind while in stand-by; masks and instruments around the avatar (suggested by Zorua345) [b]Mini holiday vistas:[/b] [b]Harvest[/b] - released during Drakeharvest; a wheelbarrow of vegetables and a golden, silver or bronze platter of fruit in the background; all sorts of veggies and fruit around the avatar [b]Fishing[/b] - released during Frigidfin Expedition; consists of a wooden rack of dried or hung fish on a muddy riverbank next to a small boat or small wooden pier; fish and a net entangled around the avatar [b]Beekeeping[/b] - released during Springswarm; dried or insects stored in jars, and mud or wooden bee hives in the background; honey jars and a net surrounding the avatar [b]Prowling[/b] - released during Sunparched Prowl; in the background some pelts and freshly caught prey, a sturdy wooden table with a platter, a cleaver and meat chunks on it; meat chunks around the avatar [b]Nature:[/b] [b]Vineyard[/b] - a gorgeous landscape featuring a vineyard in the background, vine leaves and grapes entangled around the avatar [b]Orchard[/b] - seemingly endless rows of apple/orange/pomegranate trees in the background, calming and pretty, and small piles of all sort of fruit in the front surrounding the avatar [s][b]Garden[/b] - flowers and perhaps veggies in the background, some seeds, vegetables like carrots and turnips, and a small bunch of flowers in the front and around the avatar; very simple[/s] This actually works really well with the harvest vista! [b]Pond[/b] - in the background, a small garden pond surrounded by rocks, with common waterlilies and something similar to Santa Cruz waterlilies in the water, goldfish and koi fish in the front swirling around the avatar [b]Island[/b] - tropical sandy beach with palms in the background and an azure blue sea, with palm leaves, sea glass & seashells (suggested by zorua345) and perhaps a glass with a drink surrounding the avatar [b]Red rose[/b] - something more of a garden-y and rustic look, possibly a rustic-looking house in the background with a large red rose bush growing against and climbing the wall and a visible sunset, and red roses tangled around the avatar; could be a contrasting vista to the Black Rose vista [b]Paleontology[/b] - simple themed vista with a background of a stone slab with numerous fossils of trilobites, anemones, ammonites and extinct crustaceans, and some generic fossils in the front (suggested by EPICdragon99) [b]Animals & similar[/b] [b]Bird cage[/b] - simple vista with bird cages in the background and bird toys in the front, hanging on both the left and the right side of the avatar [s][b]Birds[/b] - we have valentine birds, but how about all sorts of other unique birds? Just a vista full of cute feathery friends. Chickens, pheasants, crows, macaws, hummingbirds, hoatzins, eagles, etc. If that's too complicated, a chicken vista would suffice :^) (suggested by CrazyCake)[/s] [b]Goat/sheep/cattle Herder[/b] - honestly, any herding animal-themed vista would be fantastic, I'd prefer goats tho. A semi-arid landscape of shrubbery and a herd or goats in the background, and some dry grass and a goat surrounding the avatar [s][b]Skulls[/b] - a dark and eerie vista with skulls adorned with jewelry, horns and dry flowers growing from them in the background, and symmetrical jaws/skulls surrounding the avatar (suggested by CrazyCake)[/s] [b]Flowers[/b] - a stereotypical flower vista. A load of flowers in the background: potted, bouquets, piles, branches, leis, etc, and all sorts of flowers entangling the avatar (suggested by CrazyCake) [b]Reptiles[/b] - Tortoises, lizards, crocodiles, snakes and tuataras in the bg, plus a gecko and a curled up python next to the avatar (suggested by CrazyCake) [b]Cat/dog companion vista[/b] - two vistas of the same fashion and based on cat and dog companions we have as apparel. Nothing too complicated (suggested by Denryu) [b]Crustaceans[/b] - as a huge crustacean enthusiast, I'd love to see a vista that features those, mainly decapoda and stomatopoda! Lobsters, hermit crabs, king crabs, rock crabs, coconut crabs, mantis "shrimp" and shrimp in the background, possibly on a beach, and hermit crabs and crab pinchers around the avatar (suggested by Briton) [b]Firebird/Phoenix[/b] - we've seen numerous hints of the elusive Firebird, maybe it is time we get to see one in vista form. Honestly, making the Firebird fairly elusive in the vista would be pretty cool too. Flaming wings and feet in the background and a flaming tail tangled around the avatar. If we could have a vista based on something oriental with architecture similar to something from 1001 Arabian Nights, that would be fantastic. A vista with stunning hill scenery and an enormous citadel (castle) in the background with dragons flying around it, and broken arrows, a crown and coins as iconography around the avatar (suggested by Venosl) [b]A window[/b] - a simple vista that shows a vintage framed glass window or perhaps a wooden window without glass but with wooden shutters, similar to the Mediterranean window type. Cracked stone house wall, dry flowers on the sill, maybe some hanging cloths; cloth pins, candles, ivy and some dry flowers surrounding the avatar (suggested by Johan) [b]Natural thermal springs[/b] - in the background a grove with some beautiful, crystal clear pools of fresh spring water, rocky terrain around the water, lush trees, a cliff right next to the pool with ivy growing over it and a waterfall; coins, chalices and a towel in the front [b]Stained glass[/b] - a stained glass window based on some European or Southwest Asian aesthetic (cathedrals/mosques), a pretty and colourful stained glass window with a plant motif, pretty intricate tiles on the stone walls, maybe like the Ishtar Gate or other Babylonian architecture since that is mainly the area of origin of stained glass; coins, a candelabra and some scrolls next to the avatar (suggested by Zorua345) [b]Underwater vista[/b] - as the title suggests, a vista based on underwater reefs or perhaps chasms; maybe thermal vents in the background with all sorts of weird lifeforms surrounding them, and clams, tubeworms and crabs surrounding the avatar (suggested by EchoDino) [b]FR-related[/b] [b]Pinkerton pile[/b] - the background featuring the famous Pink's pile, in the front all sorts of junk; straightforward; is a random rare drop from Pinkerton's Plundered Pile [b]All Flight/World Map[/b] - either a vista that encapsulates all Flights with the miniature world map in the background and a cluster of stereotypical elemental items tangled around the avatar, or a vista released on the same day of the Map update (suggested by TheWhiteTigerGod) [b]Individual territory vistas[/b] - vistas made for each Flight territory with their complimenting and stereotypical items surrounding the avatar (suggested by Ragnarok42) [b]Beastclan[/b] - a vista encapsulating the theme of Beastclans, nothing more to be said about (suggested by Ragnarok42) [b]Shade[/b] - a vista made to represent the Shade. I imagine the Shade as a sentient, internal code-breaking organism that kills any living creature with DNA it can get inside of. Take a look at Observation (the new game) and take inspiration from that. (suggested by Ragnarok42) [b]Halos[/b] - this would probably take a lot of work to make specific vistas for each and every different halo but a general "halo" (light aura) vista would be super cool nonetheless. It would actually fit very well with the Skypost set, if we ever get an expansion of it (which is something I have elaborated in the apparel suggestion conglomeration), a fitting vista would be amazing! An all flight vista, like, all the emblems surrounding the avatar like the MGS Lion. Each emblem has an aura in the color of the flight, with maybe the World Map in the background?
