I'd personally love a "dark theme" or "night mode" option, even if it's just in your own lair. Some dragons really pop and look much brighter on a dark background and I think it'd be nice if we just had the option.
Personally I also know it's a lot easier on my eyes verses the bright white/tan theme.

Support, but I think there already is a dark mode you can download somewhere, but I lost the link.

Oh man, I support this so much! I mostly play late at night (after work) and a dark mode would be so nice for my tired eyes.

i would love an official dark theme :) there's an unnoficial one, and it's a-ok and completely legal to use but i would still prefer an official one
however since the unofficial one does the job fine i don't think we'll be seeing an official one for a while

I will always support this! Please, my eyes.

Have staff straight-up said it's okay? If so, I'd love to know about it! Otherwise, any script (such as a browser extension) that changes the appearance of the site is against the ToS lmao. EDIT: Apparently it's possible to get such things ratified!

using any unofficial scripts/bots on flightrising is against the tos. people have been banned for mentioning the fact that they use "blank add on" to add dark mode

bborzoi not quite! using any script that plays the game for ya is against the tos. you can use contact us to ask about specific scripts that do not alter gameplay :3 thats what i did!
source :3
The Tos does state the following:
Quote:
11. The use of bots, scripts, auto-refreshers, or third party software designed to play the game for you in any way is not permitted. (Updated 6/19/2013)
12. The use of bots, scripts, or third party software that shortcut or alter site functions to run or appear in ways that are not intended by site design is not permitted. (Updated 11/26/2013)
13. The use of bots, scripts, or third party software that generate an excessive amount of concurrent connections or potentially damage site stability is not permitted. This can fall under the realm of using browser functions, add-ons, extensions, etc. to hit Company or Services’ server infrastructure in repetitive or disproportionate ways. These incidents will be reviewed thoroughly on a case-by-case basis. (Updated 5/25/2018)
#12 may be confusing (to me as well!) because it mentions site design- but site design and site colors are two different things. Site design may mean: an addon to highlight baldwin items in your inventory, an addon that changes the site's design in a way to alter gameplay, etc.
All I know is that in the first link it says you can write to them to ask about specific extensions and when I did so I was told a dark mode was fine (else I wouldn't be talking about it or using it!)
I have witnessed posts and whatnot being deleted by confused mods who don't understand the ToS either so I don't doubt people have had their posts accidentally deleted over talk of dark mode. Still in theory it shouldbe fine :3
If someone mentioned to you that they were outright banned for using dark mode I do not think they were being truthful to you but that's another discussion entirely!
sorry for so many post edits

Did you mean to include me in that? xD I said pretty much the exact same thing in my post. Also, apparently you can get them checked by staff (although whether they still have time to do so is another matter).
I'd be extremely surprised to hear that there was a ban solely for mentioning that (given how many people who I
have seen mentioning such things who are still around).

My friend has problems with high contrasts too so I support the option of having a dark theme. We're in 2019, let's make websites accessible for more people.
